Oh, and what you're referring to the userlist.txt with the user rules readme page. It's primary use is to sort user-created patches / mods that shouldn't be sorted in the masterlist to prevent super-bloating. Neat things can be done with it.

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know. I'll give that a whirl. I just found the masterlist.txt in the BOSS directory too. Fun.

Ah, basically to make sure the esm's are dated prior to the esm-ified esp's. That makes sense. I was getting a bit nervous there thinking that it might be changing my load order. Still, you shouldn't rely on masterupdate to set your load order...it's not exactly a load order utility. But, if it works for you....all the power.

Yep but like the readme says for BOSS, not recommended you touch it as anything you change will get overwrriten with each update a masterlist updater makes for that game. The userlist.txt, however, isn't affected and stays through all revisions. I'm pretty sure there's a userlist.txt for Oblivion and Fallout 3 as well so again, not like the masterlist is set in stone. In fact, you can use the userlist.txt to pretty much turn it up-side-down, albeit only on your BOSS and not others.
