Some notices...

I've noticed a rock face that is floating... it's over near the rocket place where the ghouls are. It's floating just right in the air. This really killed the playing experience for me. Also, in the same area, the scorpions in the hidden valley fall right through when they are killed. It happened like a million times.

Also, I just want to rant a little about the noob killer aspect of this game. A new player cannot do very much in the way of using skills at all. You want to barter? Well all the barters in the game are at 50. You have to be lvl 7-9 to do that unless you specialize in a single talent. You want to talk your way out of something? Well that's 50 too. Got to pick a lock? Well now! That's anywhere between 50, 75, and 100. Wow. A new player (everyone) doesn't have a chance. It erks me that they did this! Hey guys! Try turning it down a notch. If I was in a group with a GM doing this, I'd be ticked off.

Finally, the story is a bit weak. If this story were a liquor, it'd get you as drunk as water. I mean, yeah, I got shot (in the head, no less) and the package was stolen from me. I didn't die, so, I'm good, right? This is a wasteland in the middle of a dessert. What do I care if they made off with the platinum chip!? THEY SHOT ME IN THE HEAD AND I LIVED. I don't really care about going after them. Even the character's reaction and the NPC's reaction were ho-hum. Geeze. Why couldn't the story be better!? Even in FO3, bringing water back to a drinkable state was something my character could get behind. Oh and I haven't gotten that far into the game so I don't know the ending (let me repeat--I DO NOT KNOW THE ENDING AND AM JUST GUESSING HERE) but I am willing to bet a platinum chip that the Mr. House guy is actually that victor robot or at least an avatar he uses. Maybe when I get into it, it may get better but for right now I'm stuck asking, "So what!?" and "Who Cares?"

Eh. It has issues and patches will make their way around in time but it's still an enjoyable game and I thank you for making it. I just wish you'd taken a little bit more time than you did on it.

You must not be the bright one of your friends, huh? I didn't say anything about making it easier I said the obsidian and Bethesda seemed to go out of their way to make sure that players couldn't use any of their talents until WELL into the game. So why add those parts in at all!? I mean, in order to get the explosives from the old man you have to have an extremely high explosives skill. To barter with the general store guy you have to have like 50 in barter. This is ridiculous. A player CAN'T do it--no matter how easy the game is. If you can't pass the skill tests, it doesn't matter if that part of the game exists. I did the powder gangers quest without any help from the town because none of the talents were high enough to get them to help me. It's almost they wrote the game expecting users to specialize in one area or another without bothering with the others. This is all well and good but it makes for a really crappy RPG and an even worse gaming experience. I don't ever specialize in one talent or skill over others preferring instead to have a well-rounded character. I was simply voicing my hatred for the game forcing me to have a speech of 50 to do pretty much anything requiring speech (and the same is true for everything else). Only if the game had given me the chance to get there by the time I got there ... which would mean more skill points which would mess up the game. So, the simplest fix is to lower the skill checks. Yes, make it so the the skill checks are at a level that would naturally be required but still allow for a well rounded character. This is just how to you run a great RPG. I know... because of a GM\DM of many different RPGs. So no, I don't want to make it easier.

I think you are missing a major component of the game: Skill boosting Magazines. Using magazines (with a perk) you can get +20 to any skill temporarily. My first playthrough I was able to finish all the optional portions of the Goodsprings quest by using several of these said magazines. The game is designed in a way that would make you want to create several characters and play through several times (Unlike Fallout 3 where you could make one character godlike and able to do everything in one playthrough). Specialization is what you are supposed to do, otherwise you end up as a mediocre jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none.
