No, there were no exclusive weapons. Everything could either be earned in game or were Vet rewards.

You got the Thompson for pre-ordering the game.

I don't like the thought of being able to buy the DLC later, it kind of kills the point in pre-ordering. I also don't like the idea at that point they would be essentially selling the guns. I assume they have counter-parts available once you unlock them, the pre-orderer's just get them earlier.

If they are going to let people buy the pre-order items as DLC I think it should ONLY be available to people who pre-ordered the game. They could have a key with your pre-order that unlocks items from whatever vendor you bought the game from, and it would also unlock the ability to buy the other items. Again I don't like this at all, but it is better than anyone being able to buy it and killing the whole point of showing off who the "early adopters" were.

Actually the Thompson is unlockable later in the game , I know it because I didnt pre-order BF BC2 and I have all guns in the game

and why shouldnt we be able to buy them/ or unlock them? Some ppls like me cant pre-order, and like most other games you can either unlock or buy the items

all the pre-order "bonuses" are cosmetic only, the 2 "new" weapons are just different looking than the existing ones, same damage, ROF, reload speed, equip speed, same poo, different pile so to speak

I have no problem unlocking the items, that is a good / ideal system in my opinion. It gives early adopters a day one advantage without taking away from in-game content for people who bought the game later. However, in my opinions the aesthetics should not be sold. Selling customizations options should be reserved for F2P games trying to make money off of it, not a game I spent $50 on. It also negates the point of pre-ordering, I am always under the impression that pre-orders should give people *something* for showing their (somewhat) unfounded faith in a game before it gets reviews out, and that something shouldn't be available for other people who decided if they wanted the game or not.

Yes, the Thompson was unlockable but only after a set period of time from playing.... BUT the M1 Grand on the other hand was given to those who have shown loyalty to DICE and have played their other games.
Which proves they do, do exclusive items for loyal members. So if Bethesda could incorporate that sorta system when sharing the DLC items that would be cool :)

Have some unlockable after completing a certain challenge, some purchasable and others for playing other Bethesda games.

Are you sure about this? The pistols in the DL games (steam and D2D) are available in the game already? The silencers and scopes?

I was wondering with the psycho pack, are the items you get only for resistance because the gun and such would not go with a security guy as they don't wear bags on their head or have rusty guns.... same with the spec ops guy he doesnt seem to be a resistance character

It's probably Resistance only. The Security sholdn't be carrying that mask and the gun is rusty and dirty so it's probably a Resistance weapon.

They change color. Not sure what the bag changes to, but the soda can silencer changes from the red beer can to an energy drink one. Also in the announcement video when mentioning the mask it was stated to be green and creepy. So for security it must be something green.

Same with Spec Ops.

They should just make it so after a few / several months you can buy them for cheap. Few dollars for one pack. I would definetly pay 10$ for all of them. Even thought if you think about it it would be huge overpay as that is 1/6 or 1/5 of the price. But that's just how I roll.

YES! That's a great idea. Though it should only become available to purchase after a set time period... e.g. 3 months after release. Just so people can show off their items before everyone else is entitled to them too.

That's what they did with Infamous. The blades skill was for pre-orders only, but was made available for everyone eventually.

f they are going to let people buy the pre-order items as DLC I think it should ONLY be available to people who pre-ordered the game.

This is what they are doing, the items will not be on the disc after all.

They could have a key with your pre-order that unlocks items from whatever vendor you bought the game from, and it would also unlock the ability to buy the other items. This sounds like BC2, where everyone gripes about not having the one gun that they claim is so overpowered. It should be available to everyone at some point. Who cares who got the game early. Is it that, without leader boards, you need something else to say makes you better than any other player?

I doubt they would get much money if they were selling, and probably no money for that price. I doubt these are the coolest outfits you can get so people will just stick to the free stuff which they would be using anyway.

You can't just assume they are the coolest. We don't even know all the outfits and weapons a person could get in the game.

Not at all, like I said earlier I didn't like the suggested idea that much. I absolutely hate when games try to sell in-game items for real life money, it's stupid. The guns (or their equivalents) should be able to be unlocked in a matter of days. I don't get why anyone would pay more money for a couple of customization options though. People who pre-order should get at least something unique because they pre-ordered though, otherwise what is the point?

Hi there We have no announced plans for these as DLC post release. If we have more information to share, we'll let everyone know. Thank you for your interest in Brink.

I kinda like the idea of being able to buy some of these pre-order packets later on....i know many games have done so for dlc content on the consoles. The main reason i like the idea of buying it later on is i can't decide for the life of me to either go for the spec-ops or psycho...i like the spec-ops for the machine gun pistol and scope and the psycho for bag hat and tattoo...man it's driving me nuts....which one should i get AAAHH!!!!... :banghead:

Anyone any idea if sites such as shopto will get any special pre-order packs? I've had it pre-ordered on there for a good while now.
