I'd like a return of the Pariah Dog through the Wild Wasteland trait, but only if done properly.

The Pariah Dog will join you over the companion limit, reduces your luck to 1, gives you the jinxed trait, he is insanely hard to kill due to very high HP and his standard battle action is flee. Oh yeah and you can't instruct him in anyway.

I've gone off Doctor Who with the new chap (I think he is terrible) and I had no idea what Pawn Stars was.
But Wild Wasteland is IMO one of the best bits of news about New Vegas ever.

I want Dr Who, Monty Pythons Knights etc in my random encounters, obviously if you get mad cappedness in every single one it will get old very quickly, but I have faith that Obsidian have got the balance between wacky references to previous games/pop culture and normality right.

Pawn Stars is just a show about a typical pawn shop, but only in Vegas. *Insert sarcastic approval sound effects*

And I dont know. I enjoyed some F2 encounters. But I worry WW will be 'LOL POP CULTURE JOKE CAUSE ITS FUNNY' And not 'wacky'

There simply has to be some "Fear and loathing" references somewhere. Hopefully there will be a ghoul resembling Raoul Duke in one of the casinos. B)

I will settle for nothing less than this ^

The game won't come with a Pawn Stars shop because of the money they'd have to pay for royalties. However I have no doubt someone will create a Pawn Stars mod that adds the shop somewhere in Vegas fairly soon after the Geck is released.

Kinda funny actually, I don't think the term "pawn shop" will even apply to a post apocalyptic world. The entire concept around pawn brokering is, at the root, bartering for goods by any other name. After the fall of society I envision that All of the merchants (or damn near close to all) are in fact bartering like a pawn shop for goods, with the likely exception that different kinds of folks/shops will barter in different kinds of goods. I think from a game balance perspective it would be like a universal merchant that buys everything but at a greatly reduced cost - something that the game definitely does not need.

Why on earth would there be Dr. Who references? That doesn't even make sense.

What is Pawn Stars?

Actually a good show about two smart guys and two morons who run a Pawn shop in Vegas. They get in lots of really cool stuff and talk about it and show the negotiations for the item etc. Added on tops is the two morons (Big Hoss and Chumlee) who are hilarious and very fun to watch.

All in all good show. I recommend it. :goodjob:
