Is third person so much improved that I can complete the gam

No matter how much they improve 3rd person I know I still won't use it completely. I always feel like I want to get up close and personal with my surroundings indoors. Even in Fable 2 and RDR I had those moments where I wished I could just switch the view to 1st. From what I hear I think you'll be able to play 3rd 100% of the way though.

There was a video where a guy was shooting dead center at close range in third person and wasn't doing any damage, then he switched to 1st person and in one hit it knocked down a couple bars, then one shot in vats finished it off. Looked clearly like it wasn't working right. Also the animation for 3rd person still looks like crap. Will still play in 3rd person, but dissapointed.
Aye I've seen that video. It's the one with the NCR mission, I'll try find a link to it in a minute.

I thought the shooting looked okay actually, but you're right the walking/running animations are still horrible. There's still only like eight different ones. i.e. forwards, backwards, left, right, and the diagonal ones. There's no in between.

Edit: At 3:20 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOqnNrFzymY video you see a little 3rd person gameplay

I played Fallout 3 entirely in 3rd person

I hate 1st person perspective, it ruins immersion and makes everything disorienting

It's amazing (and also pretty cool I think) how differently people prefer things and experience them. For me, I'm the exact opposite in that 3rd person is disorienting and immersion breaking to me, lol. I've never cared for any 3P only games and don't bother buying them as they're a waste of money for me. I like to see things through MY OWN eyes, not above or behind me.

I like third person for roaming and first person for combat. I hope they made some changes to third person though. It would be fun to actually be good at fighting in third person.
