I screwed up. Bad.

How in the world do you play fallout without manual saves? This game has so many glitches and bugs that you should always have at least 4-5 manual saves lined up so you can go back and redo parts to fix the mess ups. Hell its the only way I am even able to play this game without throwing my PC at the wall. In my last hour of playing alone i had...
1. Ed-E disappear on me (so i reloaded to a save i had 5 min before and redid what i just did)
2. Dr. Kelly glitched at the elevator in Vault 22 and instead of going inside got stuck fixing the damn thing so again i want back to another save
3. Boone head shot the person i was supposed to be collecting the bounty for so again back to a previous save.

Make it a habit to save at least once every 5-10 min and have them lined up in case of in game mishaps, blunders, glitches, and other such nonsense.

LOL. Yeah, I'm going to start the game over, but this time with manual saves.

***TO EVERYONE***
No more posting towards how to resolve my situation. Although, you can post about how stupid I am. :)

Before playing a game I always disable the autosave, it's just too easy to have something bad happen. I also make a permanent save every few levels or before major events that I leave alone and my active play involves three or four saves that I rotate. Sometimes I'll discover that I screwed something up ages ago and I'm out of luck but I rarely loose more than half an hour of play.

The straight dope.

This is what you gotta do when you play these kinds of games.

OP: I wouldn’t give up yet. There’s gotta be some way to weasel out of this. Do you have stealthboy or something?

Nope, I'm [censored] and only have one save file. This is possibly the worst thing that could have ever happened to me.

Quite possibly game over for you homie or should i say restart

what building did you run into ? if there are other people in it you could try and put someone between yourself and a legion guy and hope he hits that other guy to start a fight that way you would have some help fightring or be able to slip out . when i play a new game by the time in done i have about 200 saves . you should always make a couple of your own saves every so often to be safe considering the condition games are released in these days IMHO. good luck

PS its not the worst thing that could happen bro, your console could of died on you , thats worse.

PPS well try crouching and going back through the door so when you get outside you will be crouched and hopfuly hidden from them, thats worth a try also .
