yeah i can get by with hard saving ( i just put up a post it note on the monitor to remind me...lol ) Its when the game crashes that it makes me want to hurt something/somebody. Thats a slick idea about mapping the quicksave to your wheel button...kudos!

PC version, *checks* 9.5 hours. I haven't been taking note of bugs, but here are the ones I remember, in no particular order.

1) I'm experiencing the Quicksave problem too. I made one at the beginning of the game, in Doc Mitchell's house, and that's the only quicksave the game will make or recognize. It is always treated as my most recent save (e.g., if I select Continue, it will always go to that) and cannot be overwritten. My manual saves work perfectly well, however, and I always had a habit of making hard saves in FO3 anyway so this doesn't bother me much. If they patch it up soon, then yay.

2) I haven't experienced the massive framerate drops that some people have described, but I do get significant drops in populated areas. It seems that just facing a group of NPCs can bring it on, while turning away from them (while still being in the same room) will bring the framerate back up. This is probably the only thing I've encountered so far that bothers me, but I'm sure they can patch it easily enough (it's probably just something with the way the game handles NPC scripts or something).

3) Once, in the saloon in Goodsprings, one of the patrons was stuck in the counter.

4) Once, I killed a Mole Rat Pup and as it died in slow-mo, it sank into the ground and I watched it fall into a glitchy abyss.

5) In a house in Nipton, some bottles on a table were floating in the air (okay, I'm kind of reaching at this point; this was probably just an object placement error, unless nobody else has the same thing).

Not very many glitches at all, all things considered. No CTDs, no glitched textures, no broken games. I'm very pleased. What makes me curious is why some people are experiencing these issues (some of which can't be easily ascribed to the computer, I think) while others aren't.

Just had a thought. You could use a program like AutoHotKey (I think that's what it is called) to create a macro that hits tilde and types "save whatever" then hits enter and then tilde again. That will create a hard save as fast as a quicksave and you can assign it to the same key that you currently use to quicksave (just remember to remove it from the game keymapping).

Gave it a try but no luck... Seems that Fallout intercepts keystrokes before they can be passed to AutoHotKey. Nothing I set up would fire the macro while Fallout was running in the foreground. I'm not techy enough to figure that one out lol. Sorry.

I have encountered a bug. The Plasma Caster fires bolts in FPP, but not TPP. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbtqn1aIrw0)

Found a fix for the stuttering around NPC's if you have a newer video card. Worked like magic for me! I even turned my settings up to ultra across the board!

Im 6 hours in and on the PC. Mostly the bugs that im having have been mentioned, like the ones with teh scorps being inbeded into the ground. i have crashed to the desktop 4 times so far, very clunky controls, and its not my PC as it recommended Ultra for graphic settings. But the big one that is such a pain in the ass would be the unresponsive buttons. Like when im trying to shoot at several people or what have you at once and nothing happens. (yes, with ammo) even while in VATS, it will make a small sound but again with nothing happening other then a crash soon afterwards.

I hope they get a small update out there by the weekend, its not that the game cant be played, but im sure many of us will enjoy it that much more with it having more of a smooth feel to it. the clunky controls and movement for a better word, well it svcks. SImple as that.

Two bugs yet.

Not far from Goodsprings to the west I got stuck with some scorpions and gang members. My solution was fast travel. Not that much of a problem

A major bug however is now stopping me from playing further. Close to
Spoiler
Novac
I got an

advanced enhanced radiation suit
. Now it stops me from loading a save game again (the game says: that the game relies on downloadable content). I read that because of picking or even seeing this apparel the save game corrupts, and that more people are experiencing this bug. Hope the coming patch fixes this. However I presume it will not uncorrupt the save game, so I can only start again.

I'm playing on the 360.
