Since most safehouses are in the middle of nowhere are their any good houses not in hotels or novac as i am looking around i found some abandoned shacks and stuff but nothing i could use for a perm home in the Mojave. are their any quests to do for a great home u can customize? like in f3

The only "Upgradeable" house is Lucky 38 and I have to say, it doesn't cut it at all.

I think Obsidian should release a free DLC to turn abandon house into upgradeable house.

Novac is my favorite as its got a fairly central location on the map, requires only 1 loading screen after arrival, theres normally at least 3 traders in the vicinity (4 if you count the scrapyard), there is a workbench and ammo bench and campfire nearby and has plently on storage space.

Depends on what mode your playing.

In hardcoe mode I find your house can move with you. I use the Motel Room in Novac just for storing heavy weapons, ammo ( missiles,grenades ) extra food, water etc.
Everything else we carry.
You can't just zip around the map in hardcoe...you get dehydrated, hungry, tired etc.
So Novac it is...centrally located to all areas of the map.

great idea i would do that except the reason ive been saying no novac is because i have boone and (dunno how to make spoiler marker but theirs a spoiler about boones quest here) jeanie may is dead so is their a key in her house or somthing

you can get a house in every casino, including the vault one. also the room in novac, the ncr, legion, followers, and bos safe houses, and there's probably a few other places you can use, but won't be "yours." bos safe house or followers safehouse are the best. followers gives you like free stimpacks and infinite food.

wipe out vault 19 and use that as a base,works for me and [censored] never goes missing.
