ED-E Honest Hearts issue

Can someone clarify if we have a vanishing ED-E, which claims to be stuck in vault 22 will this new patch kick him out forever like would happen with Dead Money or will it return him intact back to a starting location? I am considering going back to an older save if this is not fixed soon but I would rather not lose some 12 hours of gameplay.

They are working on a system to kick all members out an take them right back at home if you were to have them wait somewere or they were just missing. Etc. Or at least thats is how i understand the statement.

Why the hell will it take that long?
Just copy the thing that forced your companions out in dead money to honest hearts. That takes maybe over a minute to do.
And then it will be playtested (2 minutes?) And sent to microsoft (Wich could take some time but not a month more like a day i think for a small patch like that)

It's MS. Try not to give them too much credit, as they deserve little. Certification by MS testers takes at least 2 weeks, usually more.
