I completely forgot about killing the Deathclaws, ill do it now, ill let you know how i got on.

it was far too easy 2 shots from the guass rifle killed it. 1 shot weakened it so that boone and EDE could finish it off! The mother and alpha was also far too easy! thanks guys!

I have to wait until my character is stronger, level 10+ but this is what we do. I wait until ED-E has his weapon upgrade and Boone has the All-American. I climb the rocks around the left side using the heavy incinerator from the convicts at Primm. I rain fire down on them by arcing it. They get frantic and confused and are weakened. Some charge in and companions finish them. When it gets quiet, but they are not finished off yet, I make my way to the equipment in the center of the quarry and climb up the ramps to rain more fire. It takes time to clear the Quarry but it gets done. The Deathclaws can climb up those ramps but have never done it with me yet...whew. Then we gather eggs and go have breakfast.

I unloaded on the bunch of deathclaws (going from around the Vault 32 area towards Callville Bay) and was even able to kill a few in one hit (typically when aiming at their heads). Cazadores too are no match so long as you are in sneak mode and using the proper ammo.

Yeah, I found the best way was by getting on a rock in Quarry Junction and shooting. It's not a glitch as such but they can't reach you from there and end up running off... but they always run back. Let them do the running and you can then do the shooting and repeating.
