Killed by Death

Why is that the threads where people complain are the most popular... xD.

I bet you if this one shot to the head thing was implemented, people would be here right now complaining about how OP it is, and it different varieties of guns feel useless.

Sniper Rifle and a stealth critical headshot will OHK almost everything in the game, only exceptions being the Alpha, Mother and Legendary deathclaws.
Even up close it doesn't take much shots to take down a larger aggressor.
A .308 to the head at any range should be game over for your intended victim.
The fact that it doesn't keeps the game interesting though, as you have to make an effort to kill stealthily or go for some crazy face to face battles.

And Overseer (Ghoul). Has 900 HP opposed to the Legendary Deathclaw's 850. Love the new creatures in this game :).

Indeed. But the game strives for realism in other aspects, like the hardcoe Mode (which btw is more annoying than "hardcoe", but my point remains the same).

Meh. I guess I just have to live with it. It's not a game breaking issue. Just wondered how other people felt about this.

Well I like it.
As long as it isn't complete bullet sponges then I'm fine with it.
And I've played tons of RPG's over the years where I've had to chip away at enemies health.
It depends on the game really.

I don't see the need for the silenced weapon in this game though.
They do awful damage and the moment you shoot then they're going to shoot back and alert the rest of the enemies in the area.
And if they upped the sneak attack critical damage with them then it could make them way too powerful.
So either they're [censored] or too powerful.
I'd rather not have them in the game since they mostly ain't worth bothering with.
So that part kinda irks me with not having realistic damage.

Wasn't there a drunk guard named Benny in Thief?

I wish I could blame forgetting the name of the guy that shot me in the head on being shot in the head. :banghead:

Sneak attack critical to the head with the silenced .22 killed every ghoul and human on my way to Vegas. Ratslayer killed the things in REPCONN basemant with two headshots alerting no one.

They are worthless in a stand-up fight, which is why i have a set of loudened weapons and explosives too, but for sneak attacks they are invaluable.

Hm, i have the solution (for pc-users that is) : http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35037

headshots kills, if they are extremly lucky - they can survive a shot to the head, but normally - they die.

I haven't tried a stealth based Guns character yet so I can't speak for it but it seems too powerful to just one hit enemies with little to no worries.
But I can't fully comment on it. That's just my speculation on it.
I'll come back to this subject in about 240 game hours.

My 8 year nephew said the same thing, I simply replied ''well, I'am sure Benny feels the same way''. Then he said ''who's Benny?''

Lol !! :)
