are all companions garbadge with 1 char?

So you agree with me and then claim im trying to state what your experiences are? Perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension.

Which is what my point is. Charisma is a trash stat no matter what you want your playstyle to be. I never said his build is wrong because he has high Charisma or whatever. Again, see above.

1. No. I disagree completly. I never said FNV isn't difficult. I said that it IS difficult for me.

2. Your second statement makes no sense at the moment. Could you actually give a "reason" why it is a trash state?

There are already two facts why it isn't (ESPECIALLY for specialized playstyles)

- Major difference on companions due to nerve that can make up to 50% more damage and armor.
- There are a lot more conversation options in this game early on till later which makes the charisma boost of them waaay more valuable

No trying to be a d!ck, but few things to correct

1)10-1=9, so you have 45% in difference, not 50%
2)There is also a few other special stat check as well.

Companions would not be Garbadge with charisma 1; most of the time companion lacking in performance in due to a leveling bug, which hopefully get fixed up in the next patch.

And if you provide them with proper equipment, they fare much better compare to default equipment.

Give Veronica Gauss and Power Armor, add her quest perk, add +50% DT and damage. Don't fight ever again?

Yeah, should have specified that, though I wasn't wrong. I said it can make UP TO 50% difference and meant from the base state. I didn't say the 5% aren't already applied on CHR 1. Also your equation is not entirly correct^^.

To the second. Yep. But I meant in regards to CHR. By the way most of the extra stat checks are repair and science which makes a combination of Char and INT for such a build valuable.

Any stat can be a dump stat depending on play style.

I personally don't take any stats below 3, feels gamey to me.

Because the bonus that each point of Charisma gives pales compared to what Endurance, Intelligence, Luck (with certain builds) and Strength (with certain builds) gives. Simply put the points in Charisma are better spent elsewhere and will benefit a character more even if they plan on having 2 companions around all the time. Skill magazines are also over abundant which makes Speech and Barter challenges easy to pass all game no matter what your Charisma started at.

Who cares about stats, just play and enjoy the game. Don't criticize someone just because they chose to play a character with high Charisma. It's their choice.

Another charisma; nerve; companion thread, I must be having forum-image retention.

I'm not going to bother quoting my rather large effort at explaining charisma, nerve, companions and what have you, search for it, but I can tell you this: plummeting Charisma to 1 then asking if all companions are garbage is really quite contradictory, you are aware that from 1-10 Charisma is a 45% difference in +Armor/+Dam.

Please refrain from dismissing charisma so bluntly, companion-orientated characters benefit to a degree. As Celery has stated, Charisma still pales in comparison to maxing INT or END or even STR but with the bonus of Nerve in NV it is no longer the S.P.E.C.I.A.L sink it used to be for points.

Ok, with that I can work with.

1. In what releation? For my build END and STR are practicall useless though I invested in Luck and INT. (I don't carry much on weapons and armor. Just the most effective)

To be more precicse I can see Luck helping every charachter out in the long run both STR and END not so much. END maybe the rad resistance but I already got sufficent armor at the time. (Space/Radiation Suit). I'm interested in none of the perks related to it too. As for STR 4 is more than enough for small guns and so on.

Edit: Also certain dialouge options aren't available with low CHR.

Yeah, +10% damage on Raul's Sequoia throughout THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME - or 15 skill points. That's really a hard choice. What do I pick? :-))

Depending on your build, STR can be just as useless as CHA. I try not to min/max, but I'd have no problem dropping STR to 2 and adding those points to CHA. If I'm dragging around ED-E, then the encumbrance isn't an issue (and I don't carry around junk like I did on my first playthrough anymore), and I don't use the STR skills (while I do use barter (I don't use the casino glitches/reload, nor do I game the easy way through caravan- I play 'fair') and speech). What it comes down to is the STR requirement on weapons, and the aiming/shooting is so easy that honestly, I find I can usually just ignore them.

The thing is Charisma is good if you going to give companions good weapons, with 10 CHA they do more damage than you with any weapon you choose. Dont say you can do more with X + Y ammo as they can use them both as well and get +5-50% more damage.

Of cause if you give them **** weapons and armour they do **** all
