Killing people

I beg to differ, I think that feral ghouls due to long time radiation exposure gained certain regenerating organs/limbs qualities or something like that.

Zombies don't regenerate limbs or organs.

Feral Ghouls aren't zombies.

However, I really doubt that feral ghouls regenerate organs or limbs. Very few animals can do that and humans aren't one of them (aside from the human liver).

I can regenerate my liver?

Not an excuse for binge drinking though. If you trash your liver, it probably won't grow back.

Yes, but feral ghouls aren't human anymore, now are they? Whatever...

I have to look up that liver hypotheses. I thought that when somebody has massive liver failure, they're done. Although I read stories about people surviving with half a liver transplant.

I'm not ruling it out just yet. They can regenerate their health, but there's nothing saying that they can regenerate organs or limbs. They do however live for a long time though so that may be a reason why they all seem intact (until of course the player runs into them).

As for the liver, it can apparently regenerate with as little as 25% of the original tissue. However you are correct about one thing. If you destroy your liver, you're SOL. Not only will it not grow back, but no sane medical professional will give a brand new liver to someone who is just going to abuse it.

Edit: The fact that even just one of our organs can regenerate at all gives a little credence to the idea that ghoul organs can.

George Best got a new liver even though he was drinking excessively.

Just give up drinking with her. Then when her liver gets trashed and she needs one, say "Hey baby. I have a healthy liver and you need one. I bet we can work something out..."

I blew Cass' head right off. Had this been more realistic though I woulda blew her arm off, and she would have run outside. Take out her leg, walk up to her smash her head! The end ;)

Nah, if you hang out with Cass, alcohol won't affect you in a bad way anymore!!! :D

Oh, and relevant to the topic, dismember people and still have them alive reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUKN_YF8tjA&feature=related. I'd like to dismember people and still have them alive, but I would never like them to come after me. They'd most probably fall to the ground, writhing in pain, crying, screaming and all that horrible stuff which is beautiful to my ears, I mean, my evil characters ears. Maybe even try to limb, crawl or stagger away from me. Heh heh heh.

I like the idea. There are already half dead people all over the game like the ones on crosses and the NCR guys outside Nelson.

I have no doubt that games will get to that point eventually. Probably the next Modern Warfare game will have wounding shots of varying severity. If a game like Fallout did something like that, it would probably catch a lot of flack simply because it's an RPG, but a game like MW, which already kind of has the reputation of being a murder simulation, were to do it first, it will eventually trickle down to the other genres.
