An exact list of changes fo r the patches?

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 2:12 am

Dear Obsidian and Bethesda,

is there, somewhere, in the endless space of your awesome game creation a place for an exact change of list for the pacthes you've uploaded? It's very important to know, specially for some of the modders (which are a lot of people), so they know which changes they have to reset in their mods. I really like to know if have to quit my bug fixing mod, because you've fixed all the bugs?

Thanks for an answer...oh, and thanks for the patch, really appreciated.

I've been looking for a full changelog myself. One would be greatly appreciated if the developers can provide.

*http://www.mediafire.com/?2zjrq2n4dc35g69's a difference plugin, that is a v1.2.0.314 ESM filtered, then 'cleaned' with FNVEdit against a v1.2.0.285 ESM, leaving only new and updated records. There are a lot of changes which, if the linked plugin is loaded after a mod potentially needing updating, will show as red after FNVEdit filtering and point out records which might need to be updated.

*link fix'd

Err- sorry, I see only two FOOK plugins inside. :(

it is necessary..we have the right to know everything thats been done to the game we paid for..to think otherwise is ridiculous..

Tossing in my request for that changelog too. I'd like to see which bugfix mods I'll need to reinstall.

It's not necessary. They fixed everything.

:rofl: Good one.

They didn't fix the super rare bug of companions freezing and not doing anything. That [censored]'s annoying as hell. It got so bad poor raul can't move when going rolling back in time to different saves. He's permanently broken on that file. Hope to god later I can get him fixed in game. I want to do his quest now that it should be working.

Edit
If someone could get that change log it would be great.

Well, the only list I've found is this one...

Top fixes:

* Companions now show up as waypoints on the map they did before
* Companions will always fast travel with you, unless told to wait or sent away
* Fix: DLC error/save corruption is only partly fixed...I still get the DLC message at game start
* Fix: Entering the strip after Debt Collector causes crash and autosave corruption
* Fix: Using Mojave Express dropbox can cause DLC warnings
* Crafting menu now filters valid (bright) recipes to the top of the list was already fixed
* Weathered pistol no longer glitches when applying mods

In addition, this patch addresses issues with the following areas: What exactly were the changes you imlied? You fixed something in the hardcoe Mode? Yeah, nice, but what did you fix?

* Pip-Boy Interface
* Pre-Order DLC Items
* Reputation System
* Radio Stations
* Companion fixes
* Companion Quests
* Repair Menu
* Caravan
* Weapons and Weapon Mods
* hardcoe Mode
* Perks
* Skills
* Crafting Recipes
* Crafting Menu
* Mojave Express
* Chems/Addiction
* Doctors
* Vendors

And fixes for the following quests: which bugs exactly were fixed inside theese quests? I didn't even know there was a bug with the "Ain't that a kick in the head" quest

* Ain’t That a Kick in the Head
* By a Campfire on The Trail
* They Went That-a-Way
* My Kind of Town
* Boulder City Showdown
* Ring a Ding Ding!
* King’s Gambit
* For The Republic, Part 2
* Render Unto Caesar
* Et Tumor, Brute?
* The House Always Wins
* Wild Card
* Beyond the Beef
* GI Blues
* How Little We Know
* Oh My Papa
* Still In The Dark
* You’ll Know It When It Happens
* Arizona Killer
* Eureka!
* Veni, Vidi, Vici
* All or Nothing
* No Gods, No Masters
* Birds of a Feather
* I Put A Spell On you
* Come Fly With Me
* That Lucky Old Sun
* Don’t Make a Beggar of Me
* The White Wash
* Ghost Town Gunfight
* Restoring Hope
* Bleed Me Dry
* Aba Daba Honeymoon
* Tend To Your Business
* Wang Dang Atomic Tango
* Flags of Our Foul-Ups
* Debt Collector
* Talent Pool
* Left My Heart
* Someone To Watch Over Me
* Hard Luck Blues

...but this is not what I would name a decent changelog. This changelog reads like: yeah, we did a lot, but basically we can't tell you what we did. We just hope your game is fixed now^^

Last patch they announced a bug fixed (cowboy-repeater-not-reloading-bug), that didn't got fixed, this time they announce a bug fixed, that already got fixed with the last patch.

* Crafting menu now filters valid (bright) recipes to the top of the list

This one was fixed the with the last patch. I can't get rid of the feeling that the intern communication at Obsidian/Bethesda isn't very good and if they do another such a thing, I feel outright punked. Maybe they just do this to distract of other problems. Why is such a huge patch named 1.02XYZ instead of 1.3? You really should reconsider to notifie any change you'Ve made to the game. Is it so hard to just write down what you did and later put it into a changelog? It's not 1% of the time that you've spend on creating the patch.

My next Mod ReadMe will sound like this: I've modded a lot, just don't know what...*End of information here*

That list isn't meant to be exclusive to the PC version. I don't think PS3 had that bug fixed, and I know for a fact the xbox doesn't have that fixed either. I suppose it would have been better if they could release 3 different lists detailing every little change to each version, but you were by no means "punked".
