ADD RELIGION ASPECT IN NEXT FALLOUT

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 1:24 pm

well if any CHRISTIAN watchdog looked at this game, which i doubt there is, they could already see some Satanic references in the last 2 games which they can easily say is spreading Satanism but do you hear anyone crying foul there, oh i guess speak volumes of whats REALLY accepted in society.....

I could have written a script for how this thread would go.

Pat, you asked and people responded. This sort of debate is useless.

well thats where we can agree, some sort RELATION to spreading a sort of "BIBLE" like how they were looking for un ruined Pre-war books in Fallout 3 at the Library Archives, same concept but with a religious aspect,

Because spreading the writings of Oscar Wilde of H.G. Wells arent as rabble rousing as spreading religious material with absense of other religions beyond the one. Trust me, no good could come of such a thing.

I have to deal with religion being forced on me all the time in real life, I do not want it in my favourite game. Plus, I don't think Christianity would fit too well in the Fallout universe. I prefer seeing the new, different 'religions' that pop up in response to humanity needing to believe in something. Think the Children of Atom and, of course, the Brotherhood of Steel. Christianity is simply too familiar for me to want it it my Fallout.

Could have? I pretty much did. I've been sitting waiting 3 posts in advance for what I knew was coming down the pipeline.

Closed for review.

Religion (and various other highly-charged topics) aren't generally allowed on this board. Generally we try to allow ones that stay relevant to the games to stay open, but this one very quickly verged on real-world discussion. And it doesn't seem to be going anywhere terribly productive.
