the courier is probably from Utah, a dialogue option at the beginning of Honest Hearts Jed Masterson will have the courier tell him they have not been to Utah in sometime.
possible future DLC or the next Fallout going to Utah
Lonesome road hasn't been confirmed as the last NV DLC. rumered to be around 4 more, needs confirmation on how many.

I don't remember all of the info, but something about something about the 8 DLC names that were taken by Obsidian.
But, (in my thoughts) there are only going to be 4 DLC for Fallout New Vegas, there are only about 4 spaces for DLC snowglobes on the shelf in the Lucky 38 Suite, though nothing about the amount of DLC for New Vegas has not been confirmed yet, as far as my knowledge goes, but we'll (maybe) see.

There's dialog saying the Courier has been to New Reno as welll so your Utah evidence does't mean much.

The snowglobe spaces are for the confirmed DLC they could add more spaces in a future patch. the only confirmed thing about the DLC is that it won't expand past the ending.

you do know Zion is in Utah and Masterson is refering to that

Actually someone like the doc saved you the first time you were shot and put a metal cap under the skin, so when eddie shot you it hit the metal cap and only knocked you out.
