No coincidence, but it shows that your friends made the same mistake you did. You fell for the hype instead of looking at what was being shown. I know I got exactly what I saw coming, and I'm very glad I did. The game is pretty much exactly what they set out to produce, and on the PS3, it's brilliant. There are some issues for a lot of XBox players, and some PC players, and I'm not going to deny that those probably should have been resolved before, but for me, I did my research well, and got exactly what I paid for.
As my post above clearly says... No is wasn't.
YOU fell for the hype when they SHOWED you and TOLD you what they were doing, and YOU let yourself be led into buying it without REALLY paying attention. If you choose to take advertising at face value, it's not the fault of the advertisers. Good job on trying to shift the blame though...
Also, that 0.8 million... Which platform was it on? And how many sold across ALL platforms? Because I'm pretty sure that's a single-platform figure. And it wouldn't surprise me if it's a US-only single-platform figure...
0.8 is the cross platform worldwide sales

I still believe they mislead us. They showed high end pc graphics with xbox controls for example.
BUt you are right I was blinded by the hype and wanted to believe that this game was epic
