Best aspect of Honest Hearts

No annoying super mutant companion. I hate Fawkes. I hate Lily. I hate Dog/God. Super mutants are not interesting as characters. They're strong and usually stupid, I get it. So is a bear. I would rather have a straight up bear as a companion than a super mutant. Dead Money was the worst offender with companions. Dean Domino was the only one I could stand having near me. The other options were a schizophrenic super mutant (hooray) and a mute. I forgot she was even there sometimes, since her role is to not say anything and be a plot device. Honest Hearts managed to avoid having super mutants talk to me, which is always nice, but instead I get the slow-witted Follows-Chalk to start things off. Follows-Chalk, although he bears the least intimidating name in the tribe, speaks in his amusing stereotypical accent while popping many a cap in many a White Leg. Walking Cloud is preachy, annoying, and generally a waste of space. Her many accomplishments during my time in Zion involve being mauled by yao-guai, being lit on fire and knocked off a cliff by White Legs, attracting attention, watching me get mauled by a yao-guai, getting shot to death by White Legs, and getting shot to death by me. To balance it out I get to go on a merry stroll through the gardens of murder with the burned man, Joshua Graham. And murder we did.

Bottom line: Good job making better companions than in Dead Money, although from those clowns, there's nowhere to go but up.

the best part about Honest Hearts is the fact that there is no super mutant companion? oh.......makes sense :unsure2:

I actually found Lily, God, Dog, Merge, Dean and Christine to be very interesting characters.
Follows-Chalk was also awesome, but Walking Cloud was terribly boring.

I liked the Dead Money group better as characters than companions, but I liked the Honest Hearts group better as companions than characters.

Cept Joshua Graham. He was awesome, but needed way more screen time than he got. He was such an interesting character, but his spotlight was over in such a brief period.

With the Dead Money group, so much emphasis is put on recruiting them, working with them, dealing with them. They each had their own ways about things, and own reasons to hate Elijah so you can all work together to kill him, or, try to kill each other. Christine was the closest to a love interest in New Vegas IMO ((Well, you can have six with other girls, but it's usually not about love.)), but she also has a lot of regret and hatred to her, that can come out depending on how you deal with her. Dean wants to be superior to all, and those who are above him, he wants to kill. Sinclair, Elijah, the Courier, if they're better than him, he wants them dead. That was what he was about in depth. Dog/God were about control and hunger, as clearly stated in the DLC itself.
My point is, the Dead Money characters are written so well. Follows Chalk had some depth to him, but it was a fleeting idea. I barely even remember Walking Cloud's name. I had to look up on previous posts to remember it. And Joshua Graham was a good character, but too absent from things that were important to really matter. I would have liked to see him in the main game instead.

New recipes.

I would agree it would be better if Follow-Chalk and Walking Cloud have another companion quest to make them more memorable.

If Dog/God had repeated himself one more time while following me, I would have turned around and blown his head off. End my own misery...

I got bored with walking cloud so I tweaked her a bit with some clothing.

One hasn't fully enjoyed Zion in Honest Hearts unless you see walking cloud running like mad in Veras dress from Dead Money charging a mile at some woodland critter minding its own business with her saying "very well...you force me to do this" and then proceed to kill said animal.
