Your build (attributes, skills, traits, perks, et al) will completely depend on your preferred gaming style and projected character concept. Answer these questions and we can help you with more specific information:
1. Do you role-play in depth? IE, do you conceptualize specific character traits and personalities (not nesseccarily what the game hands you vanilla) and then role-play those characterizaions in total? Do you role-play characters like Mad Max, or Eli, or JFK, or a traveling merchant or a Brotherhood of Steel Knight, or anything like that? Or do you just play the character given to you? Do you play that character as yourself?
2. Do you prefer combat centric gameplay? Do you prefer exploration? Do you prefer involved branching questlines? Do you powergame? Do you like to spend a lot of time crafting? Are you a suvivalist?
3. What level of difficulty are you interested in? Do you want your game as hard as possible? Relatively easy? Are you interested in more realistic game mechanics like having to eat, sleep and drink water?
4. You played TES:IV. How many characters did you run through it? One main character? Multiples? How long did it take you to finish the game? How many hours do you average per character?
5. If you're interested in mods, what type of mods interest you the most? Realism mods? Graphics improvement mods? Mods that make combat more challenging? Mods that add extra content like quests, houses, weapons, armors, etc...?
In this game you can play anything from a pacifistic doctor to a murderng sociopath. You can play a cowboy desert ranger, a Brotherhood of Steel Palidin, a Ceasar's Legion Centurian, whatever you want. Answer the above questions and we can help you with some build suggestions.
