Yelling At Your TV

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 8:11 am

I do it when I've had a drink while playing video games. Although it's not yelling as much as making remarks such as; "Seriously?" "Oh wow" to express dismay and how I'm losing. Etc.

I do tend to fangirl pretty hard at certain TV shows tho, to the point of having to pause it to regain composure. :3

I most commonly yell at horror movies. If it's a good movie, I"ll stay quiet aside from the occasional obligatory "DON'T GO THERE YOU IDIOT!" If it's a bad movie, I'm usually screaming and yelling at the characters like a madwoman.

I also quite often yell at my games. Or, weirdly, I make sound effects at them....Like on Prototype, when I'm jumping around I'll make effort noises...sort of like a tennis player...Or with hammerfists, I'll yell "BAM! BAM!! WHEEE!"

....Huh. And I wonder why I have no friends....

I'm like that too. The sound effect, I mean. Well, and the lack of friends, but what can you do?

I often find myself making wooshing noises when I'm flying around in games, and sometimes I'll narrate to myself about whatever the mook I just killed must have been thinking right before I killed him.

"Did that box just move? Nah, must have been the wind that probably wouldn't exist because I'm inside but whatever. Wait, where did it g-"

Nope but I get pissed off at people who do. E.g today listening to the news my mother wouldnt shut up and kept saying how the shooter was evil. Yes I think we gathered that, now can you just shut up so I can hear more about it.

And when watching TV before she was telling the things what to do "no dont do it, dont do it".

It pisses me off. Are you watching or talking. You cnat talk to them and tell them what to do, [censored] its pre recorded and fake. Why are you talking ?!

Uh.... yeah. It annoys me. I dont do it.

Gaming however I swear, but thats becuase im pissed at some glitch, bad design, cheating AI or some other person (if multiplayer).

Yes when I'm playing games I tend to yell at the TV quite often. Or really it's just me yelling. I do the same in movies sometimes too.

I used to now... I basically just shake my head and sigh.

If I'm playing a horror game, I might shriek like a little girl, but that is about it.

I find it helps relieve tension at times and you get a good chuckle out of it. Plus I find it funny for the neighbors to think i'm crazy yelling at an inanimate object that can't talk back.

Was watching 1000 ways to die and had to yell at my TV "YOU BLEEPING MORONS" when I saw these two girls robbing a church in the aftermath of Katrina. They turned on a light and ZAP both of them got fried but good.

On the rare occasion that I watch TV, I don't care enough to yell at it.

I don't, but my dad does it all the time and it's incredibly annoying. I don't even watch sports with him anymore.

Not at my TV, but when im watching SSoHPKC play games, I find myself screaming at the monitor when he can't find something that is right infront of him. Alot of that happened in Portal 2.
