Yelling At Your TV

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 6:02 pm

There are times where I watch a show and will shout at the TV "YOU MORON" or "YOU BLEEPING IDIOT". Just curious are there others out there that will watch a program then yell at the TV like they are having a conversation with an invisible person?

Yep, either out of frustration (e.g. when someone says something I disagree with and no one pulls them up on it) or when I'm watching quiz shows and I know the answer. That one doesn't happen very often so I get excited if I can say the answer before the contestant.

[Edit] Yes, I know I'm sad.

When college football is on there tends to be a lot of yelling going on in my house. :P

I also tend to talk to the screen, not really yell but kinda like "Wow you're an idiot, have fun getting shot."

With you being a Stealth Agent, wouldn't that be counterproductive?

Other than the above, not particularly. Occasionally I will yell "GO BACK!" "YOUR LEFT!", and stuff like that at my computer screen if I'm watching a Let's Play on Youtube and they miss something important or obvious.

Well I don't actually have television (I have a television, but I use it as my computer monitor) so I can't really yell at TV a lot, but when i watch things on Netflix I tend to comment on how extremely stupid a character's choice in whatever they choose to do is.

"No! Don't pick up the sword! It isn't called the 'Evil Sword of Ultimate Doom' for nothing!"

I tend to yell at video games a lot. In fact, just a few days ago, playing Neverwinter Nights, I nearly yelled myself to the point where I almost couldn't yell anymore over a really, really tough fight that, it turns out, I could have just skipped for more EXP.

I might mutter something to myself out of disbelief, but never yell. Even that's rare though.

Not really. I've yelled at the computer alot, particularly loudly at this instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIBkb_y7Cpw&feature=channel_video_title. Gix is one of all time favorite youtubers, but at about 1:20 in, all I could do was face-palm.

Well that's mean. Although I haven't actually played the game even once. All I've been playing since I bought it are modules. There are some damn good ones out there, let me tell you. And hard. So very hard.

I shake my head or facepalm at tv happenings but I don't talk to or yell at my tv. Most of my life I've been surrounded by tv talkers so even if I had wanted to talk to the people on the other side of the screen I wouldn't have been able to get a word in edgewise.

I'll sometimes say something while gaming, but it's mainly just swearwords. In the case of Portal 2, they were directed at myself for not realising the solution sooner. :pinch:

I most commonly yell at horror movies. If it's a good movie, I"ll stay quiet aside from the occasional obligatory "DON'T GO THERE YOU IDIOT!" If it's a bad movie, I'm usually screaming and yelling at the characters like a madwoman.

I also quite often yell at my games. Or, weirdly, I make sound effects at them....Like on Prototype, when I'm jumping around I'll make effort noises...sort of like a tennis player...Or with hammerfists, I'll yell "BAM! BAM!! WHEEE!"

....Huh. And I wonder why I have no friends....
