Having played FNV since I pre-ordered it when it first came out, I could not bring myself to stop playing. Having tried F03/BRINK recently, and returning them the same week due to lack of interest, FNV is still my fave game on my shelf, right next to Flashpoint: Red River, and Borderlands.
This summer, I have been getting rid of most of my games, trading them in for store credit, as Gamestop is the only place I buy my games from, in the process getting a Gamestop Powerup Rewards Pro membership, which I absolutely adore. I have gone from 23 to 6 games, giving me more shelf space.
Recent trips to gamestop have me selling FNV, just to have bought a newer, patched copy off the shelf, after reading about all the nice fixes to a game in which, let's all be frank, had you chest deep in bugs and glitches.
I still do not have the latest patch, and I might have found the way to check what patch version is on my game. Going into the settings menu, and under audio options, in the lower left hand corner of my screen is a number, just like a patch number would look (1.2.00.2 etc.) (not the actual number, just how it looks) I have checked this number to the patch listings in the Fallout Wiki, and the number indicates I don't even have the oldest patch, if the number is something else entirely, I do not know.
I would just love to have a nice patched copy of my favorite game, and my next trip to gamestop will have me taking my copy of Borderlands to trade-in, and then buy a newer patched Game Of The Year Edition, and trading in an extra controller, with a slightly broken B button (sticks).
So, to end this long thread, is there any way to check what patch I have, I really don't like wasting time/credit to get a game patched, only to have it not patched fully, or not at all.
