In fairness you don't really need to demonize Ubisoft, they do a grand job of it themselves.
Let's take a look at one of their upcoming releases.. Driver: San Francisco
- On PC it'll have always on DRM, meaning that if your internet connection for whatever reason was to cut out, you'd be unable to play the game at all, period.
(People like to complain about Steam, but at least you can play your games should your internet go out)
- The game, amazingly, does not support steering wheels on PC, that's right.. A driving game will not support steering wheels. (This smacks of lazy port)
- Despite assurances to the contrary "At least the PC version will ship at the same time as the console versions!" The game is now being delivered a month late on PC, something they've managed to do with a few of their other PC titles as well this summer, and with no reason given, not even a valid one.
This is just one example of Ubisoft and their amazing relationship with PC, there are many many more. Which is a shame, as a lot of games they publish i'd actually love to play (Silent Hunter 5), but i'll not give them a single centilla of my cash.
