assassin's creed.... overrated?

Only played Assassin's Creed 2, when it's said that it started to get good...and frankly, did not see what the big deal behind it was. I found it to be incredibly boring, with repetitive missions, worthless upgrades, terrible enemy AI, and by far one of the absolute worst combat systems I even had the displeasure of playing. If I could describe Assassin's Creed briefly, it would be like Grand Theft Auto if the only vehicle available in the entire game was a http://gta.wikia.com/Manana.

I played both but yeah. The gameplay was bad and the story was just too over the top.

Completely overrated and the quality will dip with Ubisoft borrowing Activisions business model.

Yeah, its like one every year now. Brotherhood was AC2 with multiplayer, not much of a change in general gameplay, AC revelations will be yet another filler game before releasing AC3.

How is a game "filler" if it's pushing the series' story forward?
