I'm really looking forward to the release of Fallout Online. The franchise is awesome, and I think this might just end up being my first MMORPG, a genre that never really appealed to me before.
Anyhow, I'm curious as to how player character relationships will be handled in this game, if at all.
Will there be any options of registering your relationship with another player such as in-game marriage? And will this be equal, watered-down (i.e. civil unions) or simply unavailable for same six relationships in the game?
I know Fallout has a history of allowing marriage, both opposite six and same six ones.
As an LGBT gamer, this is an important issue to me.
The way I see it, you either implement it for all types of relationships, or you don't implement any types of official relationships - anything else would be pretty bigot.
I have great faith in you, and I hope you can reassure me that that faith is not undeserved.
On a side note - if you do implement a type of official relationships, such as marriage, will there be any other restrictions - such as no interracial couples, or enforcing monogamous contra polyamorous marriages?
And while we're on the LGBT issue, I might as well ask this, for curiosity's sake; will the gender options only be binary, or will there one or more non-standard or transgender options?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers!
