So it's all a Xanatos Gambit. By allowing the Chinese to play their game illegally freely, they will get them hooked on the world and universe of Torchlight, create brand name recognition, get them to buy into a subscription-based MMO that won't be pirated so easily, AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
They won't really get hooked to the game, but instead http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/25/china-prisoners-internet-gaming-scam.
In any case, I bought Torchlight cheap on a Steam sale quite a while ago to see what the fuzz was all about, and I found the game to be rather boring. Then again, I find the Diablo games boring too. The last Blizzard game I thought was a good is Warcraft 2, and that's 15 years old now. Kinda funny really, a lot of people seem to hold Valve and Blizzard in a very high regard, but I think most of their games are rather meh. Valve did a very good job with their Portal games, though.
