Will Skyrim lead to a new Fallout?

I'd rather Bethesda just stopped working on TES altogether and put all their work into Fallout.

I'd prefer the opposite. Let Obsidian handle Fallout from now on, they're much better at it.

I hope they never again buy the rights to an old series, and instead develop new IPs if they want to make something different. I'd enjoy playing a new Bethesda franchise without having to put up with a pre-existing fanbase like what happened with Fallout, which came with a fanbase that's to this day incredibly hostile to Fallout 3/ Bethesda fans.

Ick, forgot about that.

I'd want them to work on these two and nothing else. No more Rogue Warriors, or Wets. Just stick to what you're good at.

No more Rogue Warriors, or Wets.

I want them to completely focus on making more sub-par Rogue Warrior games, and have them include an easter egg of a terrorist tea-bagging a Dunmer and Vault Boy.

(Yes that's a joke, and yes I know they didn't actually develop Rogue Warior.)

Bethesda initially licensed the rights to make three Fallout games, then went back and purchased the IP outright. This not only suggests that Bethesda is interested in making more Fallout games, they’ve come out and said that – although they’ve never announced further games.

Bethesda Game Studios is also large enough to maintain staggered development on two major titles at once. They did this with Oblivion and Fallout 3, they did it with Fallout 3 and Skyrim, and they’re doing it right now with Skyrim and a project Todd mentioned last August, saying only that they had a second game they had recently started working on. Is this game a new Fallout? Maybe. Probably even, but they haven’t said either way.

(Note, moderators are non-employee volunteers and not privy to information that hasn’t been released to the public. My comments here are pure fan speculation and shouldn’t be considered official in any way).

I will also add that we have an http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1224988-fallout-4-speculation-suggestions-and-ideas-33/ in the Fallout section for speculation on future Fallout releases. Let’s continue this conversation in there rather than Community Discussion.
