I find it interesting that they have a job posting for a COO... high level executives are normally selected by the Board of Directors and not hired through a website posting.

Other than the industry-related experience I'm actually qualified for that position. Too bad it is in Maryland.

I'm just saying thats why there hasn't been a big response to the thread, this community's majority doesn't like MMOs from what I've witnessed.

True True but you don't know how opinions of a certain game genre can change....hell if this zenimax does something radically different which may bring new people into the genre. I just think some people think the misconception of WoW that it represents every MMO.

I hate mmos. I played wow for 2 years and I hate myself for it. They're not even about fun, they're about a false sense of accomplishment. Zenimax is one of the few remaining companies that haven't sold out to multiplayer gaming. I don't want to be forced to play with other people just to get 75% of a games content.

I personally like MMOs, I've played WoW for a long time and played LotRO for a bit. I agree though, WoW created two kinds of people: Those that enjoyed it and thus are open to MMOs, and those that completely hate it and despise MMOs because of it, often for unfounded reasons just because it was so popular and in their face.

I think you're a little more optimistic about the community than I am though, atleast Community Discussion which is who I was referring to when I said they mostly dislike MMOs. I don't doubt a TES MMO would be popular, just don't think CD would be on board, which is why it's futile to post here about it and expect the masses to start cheering, which I think is what the OP was going for.

Ya I agree but then the CD is not large of a player amount that their mass opinion would not matter in the subject. What we may have around 20-40 posters that have been here for a while or will be here for a while and then we have a hundred or so who come by here and there. We are small.....

Definitely small, which is why I agree with you about the idea that a TES MMO could be successful. Guess we'll know more when Zenimax lets everyone know what they're up to. :shrug:
