Beyond TES.

Bethesda wont last. Their main hook is large worlds to explore. Other games are startin g to have bigger worlds to explore e.g two worlds. Eventually they just wont stand out, then go bust. Because big worlds are all they have. Look at fallout 3 and TES. Ignore the world, and the gameply is nothing special. They mqy proove me wrong. I mean bioware still gets praised for its poor writing, cod can repackage the same [censored] and get millions of sales. So maybe its less abou the product more about the brand, thats pretty sad.

If TES continues to change the combat in it's current direction, from MW to OB to Skyrim, the next TES could be amazing. Honestly, I can't even think of a feature in combat they'd need to change in Skyrim so it would be better. It's amazing 1st person fantasy action.

And awfully balanced, full of bugs and headscratching and -palming desing decisions. Still, as long as they are as moddable as they are i'll keep buying and playing them :hehe:

This also annoys me. Its good PC players can do that, but console players have no choice. Its also wrong that a game is only good becuase of modders, not devs. I pay devs to make great games, not modders.

You dont always need to play a game to know its crap. I thought borderlands looked bad, bought it, was right. Thought splinter cell conviction looked bad, bought it, was right, etc.

That was a 2006 game :D Compare oblivions combat to morrowinds, I'd say it's quite improved. Same goes for Skyrim and oblivion too.

That is just an innate benfit of the platform, can't really be helped

And if you ask me, Bethesda does make good games (despite the drawbacks i mentioned), modders perfect them, as they allow me to tweak the gameplay and mechanics to my liking. After all, there are no modders for crappy games.
