Are You Taking A Fews Day Off?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:38 am

I get Friday (Veterans Day/Armistice Day) off, but I wouldn't be able to get it until the evening on Friday, anyway. Other than that, I've got all of Saturday and Sunday open and I'll make sure to get all my homework done Thursday night and/or Friday morning and afternoon.

No, I don't want to burn myself out playing Skyrim within a few days. I'd rather make it last and play it in moderation. Also, having a wife and a newborn at home doesn't allow me much free time to play it anyways. ;)

One of the few benfits you get being unemployed is lot of free time. Of couse I would rather have a job, but I'm sure I can postpone looking for a job for 2 days after Skyrim comes out.

That's a three day weekend for me and my school schedule isn't that bad so I'll have time to play.

I just have to hope I'm done with my English class by then. If I have to work, it's going to be from 4 to 10, so I'll have all day to play (and maybe the weekend if nobody's home to bother me) I have a lot of free time between my school and work schedule so I don't really want to take a few days off.

Probably calling out of English which is on Monday, and possibly Programming Concepts which is on Tuesday. I have As in both of the classes, so it shouldn't be a big deal. :)

I haven't taken time off (students can't really do that) but honestly, I expect to stop everything just so I can play this game. I'm probably going to miss meals, might miss some school, and all of my loved ones are going to be missing me for a while.

I can't wait for Skyrim either, but when you actually get sick and need those days off you're going to feel really stupid.

Actually, yes. I took off the twelfth initially so I could play the game. Then, my cousin, being the selfish bastard he is, decides that he wants his wedding date to be 11/11/11. So yeah, not only do I have to go to the wedding but I'm in it as well. So now I miss out on a full day, (I have Fridays off "naturally") and on the 12th I'll probably wake up with a wicked hang-over. That said, I'm still going to the midnight launch. (to hell with him, I'm going to be tired and wired. He knew damn well it was launch day, he's an ES fan too) And to think, this is the first time in my 31yrs on this planet I've ever taken off for a game. I've never called in sick to play, or asked off for a launch as I take work very seriously. Oh, and just last night, I was asked by my elderly neighbors If I could drive them to the Phila. airport the night of the 10th. I was dying inside when I turned them down, but the answer was NO! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I'm not having everyone [censored] up every moment of my ES weekend. I've been waiting too long for it. Secretly, I know this is the Universe's way of screwing me over for taking off of work for a game, but what the hell. It is Skyrim we're talking about people.

Nope. I'm working that weekend. I'm going to work on that Friday and then go pick up my copy of the game when I get off. :P

Nah, waiting till Christmas to get it. Being a Beth game, its bound to be shipped with a ton of game breaking bugs, so I'll leave it until they get ironed out.

Well apparently me calling out the past 3 Friday has warranted me getting Friday off for a month. If this is punishment its the best punishment ever.

I said this in another thread, I have weekends off so I don't have to take any days off for Skyrim. I just have to hope Wal-Mart has the PC copy of it when I get out of work, or I'll have to wait until Best Buy opens and if worse comes to worse, just buy the digital copy online.
