I think cross forum ranting is a no no here.. but I don't like Skyrim General... it's too reminiscent of MMO boards I go to with constant unhappiness, whining and complaining.. I don't like the negativity at all, and those people have no idea how they look doing it constantly, over and over. I have to spend minutes refreshing and searching for POSITIVE topics, and it gets so bad that I just give up.The game is NOT that bad, hell NONE of the TES games of the new millennium were terrible in their own right.

I am not interested in bickering about the damn game all day long. Skyrim does what a lot of new games post PS2 era have not done: Have me so addicted that I play the game for HOURS. What feels like only an hour went by, turns into WHOLE DAYS with Skyrim. I am that much immersed into the game. That says alot coming from me, because Im technically retired from gaming as no fun games are even made anymore..so props to Bethesda.

Just "Discovered' this forum.

Breath of fresh air. The idiocy of the Skyrim forum is absurd.

It's like a hornets nest in there and reading all the weirdness, nitpickery, moronitis and trolling is enough to make you want to implode. I look forward to the Skyrim CK and hang out more in the mods section. Oh well, life goes on as they say..... ;)

I know what the real problem is in the Skyrim section, the vast majority of people in there somehow develop a mental block that prevents them from successful reading comprehension.

Nearly every single response show evidence of this phenomenom. I'm not sure how our wonderful moderators have been able to retain their sanity while moderating those threads.

I joined about the same time as you and the reason was I found the forum to be generally a very respectful place. In the last few weeks there have been alot of new members join that seem to have only joined to rant about something before moving on.

Hopefully they will understand the way this forum works soon enough, but at the moment it's a bloddy warzone out there :bolt:

I haven't went to the Skyrim forums for months now for reasons that have already been discussed. I've been there for it's beginning back when information on Skyrim was scarce with a trailer and occasional screenshot and wasn't such a bad place until game details were released. With every parcel of information since then nerdrage was aplenty, the whining numerous, and the obfuscating stupidity getting tired with all of the negativity (I myself being something of a cynical realist mind you). I kinda wish that I could discuss somewhere about Skyrim (that isn't BGSF) without the actual Skyrim forum but for what its worth I loved Skyrim and would certainly count it as my personal GOTY finding myself addicted to it.

It will be awhile, You have to figure with the DLC that section won't be completely safe for another year or so. If your willing to risk you humanity you can probably go there in a month or so. I put up with it but some people just make me want to bash my skull against a brick wall. :banghead:

Which is why I do more reading than posting.

But yup, I agree, it's going to be a while before it calms down.

When the new kids get bored and move onto the next popular game, and only the fans remain.

Sums it up there

Well, it already doesn't seem nearly as bad as it was release weak. The people are still there though, and they probably will be for quite a while.

I say whenever the CS has been out for a good week. Then we'll have all sorts of good numbers info on the UESP to draw from when making posts and there will be much less misinformation, speculation, and questions in general.

You are using the word "heathen" in the title as it is a bad thing.

I mean in the strange and uncivilized sense.
