"Agents of Change" DLC Poll

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 9:27 pm

I don't get why some people complain. It's free, you're not forced to download it.

I own another game, that is [censored], aka Homefront, and all they're releasing on their first DLC is two maps, they haven't announced if it's free or not. And thats going to be three months after release.

We're only getting two maps too, but at least we get some extra abilities, higher rank, more clothing options and gun attachments. I'm thankful that i'm getting it for free.

After reading about the content, I think it was just removed from the initial game pre-release even more; to be added as free DLC later to calm the waves which would be (were) caused by the questionable quality of the release-version.

But then again, free new content is always nice...

At the same time, a lot of the release content isn't very good. Brink's biggest problem right now is that none of the maps are actually good. If both these maps were good, we would have a total of two good maps. However, if they were designed with the rest of the maps, they are probably more like container city.

This game desperately needs some good maps that aren't crazy biased towards defense. We need minimum four good maps. I'm afraid they'll start charging for DLC before they put out any good maps and kill the game off.

What people need to think about if this is FREE DLC, this kind of thing can easily be over 10$ on other games, I know on my Killzone3 we have to pay 5$ for only 2 maps, and only one of them playable offline.
What were getting is a really nice treat from SD, were getting what should be high priced dlc for free!

I actually really enjoyed the prison mission, and the helicopter one.
Wouldn't mind some old capture the flag though.

A little skeptical about the abilities they're adding, especially the mine and uav. The bayonet is a cool addition, not a big fan of a riot shield though. Anyways having more maps should be good and the raised level cap allows more multi-classing to be viable.

I think every thing is fine (minus the two maps, could use a few more) plus there giving us this for free so we have no room to complain.

I am worried about the riot shield. I think it could really svck, but we won't know until AOC is released.

I beg to differ. Container City would be the most excellent map I've ever seen, if the Security could not get spawntrapped that easily in the first spawn area. It has so many hidden routes, that attacking can be a real joy (again: after the first spawn area).

Also Security Tower is very, very well designed. The Security Spawn isn't perfect as well, here, but not so terrible like in Container City. The Security Tower allows for many different routes, too, even though they're not that hidden like in Container City.

Ya, well ... no.

In other games the content which is cut for DLC is actually additional content to what BRINK will offer with this free DLC. Hence why people get charged for it.

I'm currently wishing they WEREN'T adding more levels - 5 new abilities would further encourage unique builds, if we were still limited to level 20, but when we also get to buy 4 more abilities, it kind of invalidates the extra variation.
