Oh yea, the resident evil series, thats a good one. Makes me want to go buy the old ones. Can't top 4 through.
Also one of my favorite games that got me into gaming was rainbow six: critical hour. Alot of people hate that one but i stand with my words.
Just any tom clancy game im a fan of, some better than others.

God of War butchers Greek mythology, but it's not a bad game otherwise.
In a literal way...

Medieval: Total War

The original Shogun laid a good foundation and subsequent titles/expansions have done the TW franchise justice over the years.
But after 10 years the 2nd installment in the series still holds my attention. Replayability in any game is a must and MTW has it. Eras, Glorious Achievements, Viking Invasion expansion pack, personal mods aplenty, etc.

This is one game that has a permanent place on all my hard drives.

I don't care what GoW did or does to Greek Mythology, its theme is based on Greek Mythology and I love Greek Mythology and that's why I love this series.

:goodjob: Good to see another MTW fan. I definitely agree about the replayability. I've put thousands of hours into that game... compared to hundreds I put into Rome / Medieval II, and the thirty-forty odd I put into Empire / Shogun 2.

It's sad really; when you mention Medieval: Total War to a lot of Total War fans, they immediately think of Medieval II... even though it's vastly inferior in my opinion.

Favorite game has to be TES IV: Oblivion.

I suspect many will deride that choice but I guess it really is. Even after wonderful games like Morrowind, Fallout 3 and Skyrim.

I also really liked Syberia I and II. And for some reason I tend to like the fairly simplistic game LotR: Battle for Middle Earth (the first one), I guess because it tracks the books/movies really well. And i think Leisure Suite Larry Magna Laude is really funny.

But my overall favorite is pretty certainly Oblivion.

Morrowind or Shadow of the Colossus.

Final Fantasy IX as my third favorite probably.

If I had to narrow it down to one I would eventually have to make the choice between Ocarina of Time and FFIX.

In the end I think FFIX would win out but barely
