Morrowind? Fallout: New Vegas? Tenchu: Stealth Assassins? I'm not sure I could place just one.

I still haven't played a game that can compare to World of Warcraft, and I haven't played it in nearly a year.

Has to be Oblivion. It's the only game where I beat the main quest line 5 times... I am in the middle of a 6th right now...

Every time I beat the main quest line I also finished all the guild quests, and a bunch of other quests as well. I keep finding new quests to. I will never be done with that game.

Does Pen and Paper count? Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition with Oriental Adventures maybe. Rolemaster is a better game in theory but much more inaccessible, Paranoia is more short term fun, but OA was pretty cool on the well rounded long term enjoyment front.

If not, and it has to a computer game, then Oblivion might not be the best game ever, but it's the best candy-coloured fairytale lunatic asylum time sink I can think of.

Hmm, the more I think of it, the more games I come up with. Age of Mythology and Age of Kings certainly deserve honorable mentions.
I think even Armored Core 2 and Ace Combat, Shattered Skies deserve a shout out.

That is, if we are just talking about pure, unadvlterated enjoyment factor. I loved AC2.

N64: Ocarina of Time
PS2: San Andreas

I agree, but Zelda would be my answer.

So many great games... Sim City, Wing Commander, Day of the Tentacle, Sensible World of Soccer, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Elite, Red Dead Redemption, Civ II, Skyrim, Final Fantasy VII, Hitman: Blood Money, Oblivion, Worms, Cannon Fodder, Gran Turismo 3, Mario Bros, Theme Park, Syndicate (the original, not the crappy FPS), the Dizzy games on the ZX Spectrum, Adventure on the Atari 2600...

It would be totally impossible for me to name just one.

Would have to be Skyrim. It's the game I've been waiting for my whole life. A close contender is Mass Effect 2. I absolutely loved it but haven't played the 3rd yet because my 360 is broken.

If Uru had any replay value, it'd be a hard choice... but being it doesn't:

Morrowind, hands down.

It's a tie between fallout, fallout 2 and New Vegas, because I probably have an equal amount of hours in each of them and an equal amount of enjoyment (maybe fallout 1 was slightly more enjoyable), if fallout didn't exist (could you imagine?) it might be Half-life 2 or a different RPG perhaps.

King's Field IV: The Ancient City

Of all the great games of which I hold fond memories, this one stands at the front.

God of War butchers Greek mythology, but it's not a bad game otherwise.

It's hard to say for me,but the Close Combat series I have fond memories of.Still one of the best RTS series ever created http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VixAXik_IJY.It puts most modern RTS games to shame in terms of tactics.
