Actors who have starred in more than one Marvel movie franch

Post » Sun May 06, 2012 10:49 pm

I was wondering what made him not come back for this. What other popular movies has he been in lately that I may have missed?!?!

What makes him better then the other actors :stare:
Him not being in it makes me dislike the Avengers a little

Cheer up. He is in the next Bourne movie that is being made. Funny thing is that Matt Damon won't be in it.

Andy, your mixing franchises, brother.

Green Lantern is DC and not Marvel. The OP wants actors who played in several Marvel movies.
He got the right actor just the wrong pairing of movies. Ryan did Xmen Origins and Blade 3.

Hey guys, I am the OP,

I'm not new here. I was a Morrowind fanatic!

I copied a post on the Marvel forum that I made and posted it here, seeing I was new there I mentioned that I had only just joined, I forgot to cut that bit out when I copied it. They didn't seem interested in discussing it so I brought the topic here. I am not a bot. Thanks for being so keen to repsond!

I did mean Marvel only and I meant DIFFERENT ROLES... so as far as I can tell Sam L Jackson does not count as he has only ever been Nick Fury in a Marvel movie, as far as I know. Remember, it's Marvel owned, so that includes things like Men in Black. EDIT: Don't you think it's a bit easy and not all that fun just to list different movies where the actor plays the same character?? =)

Here is the list I came up with, I'll have to read the thread closer to see if any new ones were added:

Chris Evans is Captain America and The Human Torch

Tommy Lee Jones plays a US Army officer in Captain America, and is in Men in Black

Idris Elba was in Thor as Heimdall and was also in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Ray Stephenson was the star of The Punisher: Warzone, and also starred in Thor

Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool and a vampire hunter in Blade Trinity.

Jason Flemyng was Azazel in X-Men and appears in another movie that is soon to be released. (I had the name recently. It's a Marvel owned trademark but not an original Marvel herio. The main character is a 15th century viligalte or something like that. I'll be back to edit this thread when I remember).

Those are the six I can think of. Please see if you can add to the list =)

Do you mean the same actor playing different characters, or the same character in different franchises?

For the former I can only thing of the Captain America -> Human Torch connection and the Stan Lee appearances.

For the latter:

Howard Stark was in Iron Man 2 (as a recording) and Captain America. I wasn't paying enough attention to know if it was the same actor.

Agent Colson(I think that's his name, the SHIELD guy who wanted to debrief Stark in the first Iron Man) was in both Iron Man films, Thor and Captain America.

Nick Fury was in both Iron Man films and Capt. America.

Tony Stark appeared at the end of Incredible Hulk.

I don't think he was, I'm pretty sure Robert Downey Jr./Tony Stark was in the after credits though (recruiting)

Edit: Already answered :/ Probably should have read the entire thread first.

Yes, he was. Whom do you think Stark was talking to? Himself?

He came home and noticed Jarvis was turned off. He tried to turn the lights on but since Jarvis was off he couldn't. Then Fury stepped out.

Ohhh.. I don't care for the Bourne movies anymore.

Edward Norton doesn't do sequels.
Too bad the Avengers isn't exactly a sequel..

Not true. He was slated to do The Avengers but something happened. Creative differences possibly? He rewrote The Incredible Hulk script before doing that film. I don't think Marvel fired him I think he just stepped away from the film. There is an Incredible Hulk sequel planned and I do think Norton has signed onto it. It was just The Avengers he didn't sign onto. Again, I'm thinking it was creative differences. Norton probably wanted to change the script.

I was talking about the after-credits of the Hulk.

You sure? I saw Thor months ago so I could have forgotten, but I watched Hulk last week and I don't remember him showing up.
I've yet to see the Hulk movie that led to the Avengers, I'll give it a search and see.
He definetly was in Thor.

I don't remember him being in any of the Xmen films.
Unless by all, you are referring to only those films that feature members of the Avengers.
I meant those that appear in the Avengers film, like Iron Man, Thor and Captain America.

- Appears he was meant to be in Thor but never. Iron Man, Captain America and Avengers is correct though.

Speaking of the Avengers, I went and saw it last night:
Here's my take on it.

Hawkeye: I am a Bosmer with a fifteen point archery bonus and a 20 point weakness to magicka.
Captain America: I am an Imperial. My pants are also too tight and it is making me cranky. My ego is big and I am in charge.
Iron Man: I am a Dwemer. My pants are made of metal. My 'ego" is also very large, and robotically controlled. Beat that!
Thor: I am a Nord. I have a VERY BIG HAMMER. Please continue, my good sir. all of you!!
Loki: I am an Altmer. I have a spear and magic helmet. Screw you all!! Wabbit killing time!!!
Black Widow: I am a Breton. I kick ass, even in high heels, and have a speechcraft bonus. My pants are also tight, but I like it that way.
Hulk: I am an Orsimer. Leave me alone! Leave me alone!! I told you to leave me alone, now I have gone all smack my [censored] up!! Damnit!!
Nick Fury: I am a redguard. I have an eyepatch. You stole the hun-ding. [censored]es, I want it back!!

Now, as for the Cap being in The Hulk, which one was that, the one with Eric Bana or Edward Norton? The one with Norton was definitely the better Hulk.

And speaking of The Hulk, Mark Ruffalo svckS!!! I hate that guy, he's a terrible actor and everything I've ever seen him in reminds me of his crappy role in the TV show "six and the City" god, what a horrid show. Norton should've stayed on; hell I would've liked Bana reprise the role; he was decent enough.
I really like Ed Norton but imo he was pretty terrible as the Hulk. Eric Bana was the best Hulk by far, he was just trapped in a mediocre movie.
