Thoughts on Body types

I joined here to give my 2 cents on how the body types are used. As of now the Heavy body type seems almost useless, sure it lets you use the so called "BIG" guns but whats the point when they don't even do more damage than an smg. I have been trying to play as a heavy for a little while and just get constantly insta-killed by tiny lights running around with smg's. For example: I had my minigun spun up and had just finished killing someone and had lost no health in the process, right after that a light runs around the corner with an smg and manages to kill me first even though I had been spraying him as soon as he came around the corner.

This balance just doesn't seem to make sense, the heavys are supposed to be damage takers with higher damage weapons but are hindered by slow movement. Lights are supposed to be fast and have lower damage weapons and are meant to flank objectives. So why is it that a heavy is being beaten in a one on one fight by a light? It encourages everyone to be either a light or medium because heavy is simply useless. The only way a light should be a heavy is if they catch them from behind or if they are not paying attention. I think a few tweaks to either the heavy's health or the SMG damage should be put in to encourage people to try out heavy a little more.

Again just my idea's let me know what you think or if I just svck as a heavy :unsure2:

It doesn't help that the heavy is big enough to absorb some of the SMG's spread either. Don't have much experience using a big machine guns, but their spread is CRAZY. SMGs are best suited for CQC, so maybe that's why you were beat. Rock beat scissors sort of scenario, so maybe keep an SMG as a side arm . Also, my recent game had 2 heavys on the opposing team. We were playing container city. They were a bit nightmarish with their gatling guns. Walking tanks, man. And it worked cause their buddies were running flanks. Made defending on Container City a very interesting fire fight.
