1- you need internet just to install it
...ok, so after that, I drove 20 minutes out of my way to find an internet access point, and i discovered,
2- there is no reason to actually purchase the hardcopy of the game,
...because it cant install without steam, and you could buy it on steam for the same price or cheaper, so there wasnt even a reason for bethesda to produce a disc version for the pc game or for anyone to ever purchase the cd.
..."ok, whatever. It'll be way worth it!"
3- the game by default ran as a 32 bit 2Gig ram version "ug... im sure i can fix that later"
then, i get on and discover more issues
4- up/down sensitivity is like 0 and left right is like 9, and there isnt an option to change it..
...I tried to get over it, but so many 'little' things kept getting on my nerves, such as
4- how the menus were designed for console and hardly work on pc, and
5- when i disenchant something my game gets stuck
...and then, after awhile of not playing it, i went back because my friend told me that the 1.2 patch came out, and, well that didnt do anything to fix any of these problems, and just added more problems to my game
6- since 1.2, the tab menu doesnt close with tab,
7- also, now most of the buttons dont do what they are assigned to do (i.e. R no longer takes all from containers)
8- and now whenever I try to use the disc to play the game, it just whirrs and clicks instead of just zooming and opening the game
I felt from this game was physically crippling. I knew it wasnt going to be perfect, because this is bethesda, but i atleast expected it to be functional... instead it was so disappointing and shoddily made, the ammount of disappointment was phisically crippling me and making it difficult to even think about the game. I almost threw out the window, then decided i would need to keep it if i wanted to get my $60 back, and compensation for the pain and suffering this game has caused, but really, i dont want my 60$ back, i just want it to WORK.

. They have already patched in escape to work properly now, so hopefully it'll get better with a patch or two.
