In all honesty, they will both be epic and awesome. But sadly i think the RPG type game is and has been losing out to the FPS for a long time. RPG's require alot of time and patience to play while being fun at the same time, wheras an FPS is a quick blast of Fun whaether you have the spare time or not.
In regards to which will sell more? Reach will, there is no way in my mind that as awsome as i think F:NV will be it wont be able to outsell Reach. Why? because Reach is single player and mulitiplayer and therefore appeals to a larger fanbase. Also th fact that Halo has been named the greatest game series of all time (i cant remember where i read it so please dont ask for a link) either that or its up there with the very top game series also helps it.
As to which will be better, that depends on which type of game you'd rather play they will both have their ups and downs, no game can truly be called better than another (unless on of the games is the biggest trainwreck of all time) because its all opinoin. I will love both and dont think i'll be able to pick a favourate.
Also @ The_Blight Halo Reach is not only being centred on MP there is alot of work going into the campaign its going to be a more story and character drien campaign hopefull making it more awesome than preious halo title's.
