Thanks for the additional info. I don't really keep up with pre-assembled gaming machines - I've been rolling my own for years.

Yeah but I would have to know all the parts in the system to even assemble it, not to mention the annoyences and frustrations it brings.

Then you might be better off looking at deaths_soul's post and checking out the sites for those manufacturers he suggested. Figure out your budget and then go take a look.

Check out the first post on the thread linked below for a general guide on what you need to look for when you're shopping. If you can afford it, look for something close to or even better than the recommended specifications.

Building your own gaming PC is kind of intimidating the first time you do it, and the sheer amount of information can be overwhelming. But it gets a lot easier after putting one or two of them together, and I get a lot of satisfaction out of running a machine that I built myself.

Just fair warning, though: the folks I mentioned are a bit on the pricier side since they tend to do the types of builds that push sanity as well. >_>

Great quality though.

Haha, yeah, I think i'll just go with Death's idea and get a digital storm gaming computer, I just want to buy a gaming laptop though, just because it's so much easier to handle with and care for.

Desktops are better for a similar price. You can also upgrade them down the line. If you have the room and are not moving around a lot, grab a desktop instead.

The only thing I'd add then is to go ahead and spend the extra $ for a cooling pad if one's not included. Your hardware will thank you for it.

Good luck with getting your new machine.

Yeah, but actually I know the desktops are only like 100 to 200 bucks more, I just like to save money rather than spend it all up.

Thing is, mobile hardware is weaker in comparison. You'll be getting less for the same dough.

Agreed, especially if you're planning to keep the machine for a long time. Laptops are very difficult, if not impossible, to substantially upgrade, while a desktop can be upgraded pretty easily. In the long run you'll probably save money going with a good desktop rig.
