Well jazbay seem to be a rare berry in this game and I've just picked up a quest to gather 20 of them and I just cannot find any growing wild.
Yeah i have found 2 of them... And one were loot from a mage and the other one found in an apothecary's satchel i think...

There are some farms in the area south of Windhelm and in the volcanic tundra areas and areas near the hotsprings you can find Jazbay graqes. It seems more like the Alto (one a in skyrim) wine is simply a varietal rather than a specific winery. Either the descriptions in the books (books by Revan are also in Skyrim) were exaggerations or described a several hundred year old location now gone. Its also possible that a specific winery and vineyards in general were not high enough priority to squeeze in to the rather densely landmarked region in this game.

Would like to see it modded in though maybe.

Unfortunately, Bethesda would rather make their games look good than make sure they comply with the lore. Seems kind of stupid for a game developing company that creates RPGs and dedicates an entire team to the lore itself, but whatever. As long as they keep releasing game engines, resources, and creation/construction kits, people will continue buying their games -- for the PC, anyway. Console players looking for a solid TES RPG are going to be disappointed, especially those buying the PS3 version.

They are VERY easy to find. I found at least 60 of them. Roam around all over the steam pit area of the game. The plants are slightly bushy, yellow in color, but grow close to the ground, mostly on the rocks. This is the best place to go hunting for them. :)

Just be aware you'll run into a Giant Encampment, some skeletons, and sabertooth cats on your wondering. Oh and maybe a dragon too.

Good Luck!

Seeing as we find bottles of Alto wine =everywhere= I'm thinking that book is more of a marketing tool than an actual story!

Nice, found a lot of them there, thanks. Problem is that is the area that my glitched, backwards dragon is flying around and I get about ten minutes before everything starts to lag like crazy so I decided to stop at 20 for the quest. always wondered if the glitched dragon is the same for everyone else - if so it should be an easy fix for Bethesda.

Does it count as lore if it's from a series of fictional books in-game? As in, the events of the Beggar series were written to entertain, and none of it ever happened in the "real" history of the Elder Scrolls? Just like on Earth, the people of Nirn sometimes like to pick up a good novel from time to time.

That said, it would have been incredible to actually go there.

I found Meridian's beacon in the volcanic area of eastmarch, which is a apple sized gem. Also the only place i've seen jazbay berrys is eastmarch.

You can't mod cut content if the content was never there to be cut in the first place.

EDIT: I Don't see why it wouldn't be in anyway, they have other such landmarks in the game that we have seen/heard about in previous games.
Yeah, thst mskes sence. Still, going to said place would be cool.

Sounds like DLC material. Remember that in Oblivion many DLCs were really small, like the Horse Armor or just a new house. A very cool "house" though! The Mages Tower, or the Castle you got.

Yeah they were pretty emphatic about not doing micro-dlc for this one. I think the size they wanted was quoted as being "somewhere between Point Lookout and Shivering Isles"
