I am currently playing a very “entertaining” game of “choose your glitch”.
I can play without ENB.0096 using the newest nVidia drivers and the game looks crisp, but ... the outdoor environment shadows go completely nuts. For example, shadows cast by trees on the ground are usually invisible unless my character is standing inside the cast shadow. Moving through an area with a lot of trees (or houses or rocks) has the shadows appearing and disappearing very rapidly.
The direction I look at also seems to factors into this. Its a game breaking glitch really, its like someone is randomly enabling and disabling the shadows on the fly while I play.
Oh, and spiderwebs, fire and light-ray effects are invisible too. (The shadow problem is new with 1.5, the invisible spiderwebs I had from day one.)
Or ... I can play with ENB.0096 enabled and the environment shadows work but I get the ghost image thing on grass, as shown in Livewired500's screenshot. Also I cannot see anything but a blank greenish gray screen while underwater (this I managed to fix by disabling DoF).
And of course I can now see spiderwebs, fire and light-rays.
Both options svck to a degree but I went with ENB. The grass ghosting is less of a game breaker than all the shadows randomly flickering on and off.
My graphics card is a nVidia 7950 GT, its really old, so I am not actually complaining. Its just one more example why having updates forced down your throat without and chance to say “no thanks” or rolling back after giving it a whirl is not really such a great thing.
