Smithing ArmorPotions

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:52 am

I've delved a dungeon or two, so I've been almost everywhere. I never see them anymore and the ones I got in the beginning I never disenchanted and just sold them.

Anyone know a good dungeon that usually has the Armor pieces? And how can you make 100%+ Smithing Potions?

Thanks!

Check smiths or general vendors for smithing apparel. It's not so rare, so it shouldn't take long to find. Same with potions, check alchemists.

To make powerful potions, you need to enchant four items so they increases your alchemy skill. Then you can make a potion that increases your enchant skill. When you drink that, you can enchant a new alchemy suit to make your potions stronger, and so on and so forth.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1317202-complete-character-design-freedom-damage-resist-caps-and-ridiculous-damage-thread-8/ gives this process:
Purchase and Drink a Fortify Enchantment potion (>=25%)
Fortify Alchemy enchantments 28% x4
Fortify Enchantment potions 32%
Fortify Alchemy enchantments 29% x4
Fortify Smithing enchantments 29% x4
Fortify Smithing potions 130%

Without that loop, your smithing potions will be at 60%.

the alchemy shops in all the towns will carry them from time to time... you just have to kill the vendor and quickload to refresh their stock. Or wait 48 hours but that doesn't always work for me.

You can actually have x5 on the fortify alchemy enchantments if you use a Falmer helmet with a circlet since you can wear both on your head at the same time... I've got my alchemy fortified by 140% right now with that combo...

Also I've never yet found a way to make these fortify smithing or enchanting potions yet but that's beside the point since there is an armor level cap in damage reduction at 80% which is achieved at just under 600 armor level so having over smithed armor is pointless and killing enemies in one hit just gets boring quickly...

The falmer helm/circlet is an exploit, so I didn't bother to mention that :hehe:

The armor cap is easy to hit in some armors yes, but if you want to hit it in leather or iron for style, then you need to do the looping.
