Pickpocket perk to get secret items..

It's also possible that the outfits for Tullius, Sheogorath, et.al. are marked 'unplayable', and as such will not show in their inventories. It wouldn't surprise me if this were the case, as Bethesda is notorious for making fantastic outfits for NPCs and then making it so that we can't get them for ourselves.

Do you know what fantastic outfit for an NPC I want? Freaking Nocturnal's Outfit. WHY oh WHY would you make such an awesome outfit for a Deadric Princess and not give us any means by which to obtain one in game...

You can get Tullius armor easily when you side with the stormcloaks and do all their quests...

Does the headsman follower from solitude have his equipped items show up to be able to steal them?

I got all excited when i discovered the perk on pickpocketing then wasted countless hours doing...

Me-*punch guard*

Guard-*By order of the Jarl Stop right their*

Me-*I am with the guild here's 300 gold*

Guard-*Okay I didn't see anything*

Me-*pickpocket the 300 gold back

Whyyyy?

Level up pickpocketing in like 5 minutes by walking through a town taking people's rings, amulets, and random gemstones... It's incredibly easy with just one point into the first pickpocket perk.

I know, however I'm willing to bet it's actually a duplicate item that's part of his 'death item' list, which governs what gets dropped when something/one dies, since otherwise you'd be able to steal the one he's wearing while alive. They do this for weapons, too; NPC archers use an unplayable version of each bow that doesn't use ammunition, which is why they're never out of ammo when you loot them no matter how many shots they fired.

I don't understand why there are even un-killable NPC's. I mean, I know that it would svck if a gray beard got toasted by a dragon and I couldn't proceed in the storyline. But really, why not just make important NPC's only killable by the player? So what if someone goes on a killing spree an destroys all quest givers; this is supposed to be a sandbox game isn't it?

While looking around the perks i saw 2 pickpocket perk that allow you to steal equipped items..

I decided to get them and see if they work on some items... I tried it on Delphines Blade sword and i got it...

I am going to test it on the Psijic order guy to get his armor...

-a request for everyone else- Can you try taking Sheogorath's robes and see if it works because I already did that quest

I can't remember perk names but one allows you to take equipped weapons and other allows you to take equipped apparel
Oh man, hey, Can you pickpocket everyone's apparel in the town? Then everyone will be walking around naked during day time?

I agree with you completely. I was pissed the first time some [censored] npc talked [censored] to me and the game wouldn't let me cut their head off because they give some [censored] go fetch quest.

What got me is the unkillable Legates at the Imperial Camps. I did the Stormcloak side missions and at the end Ulfric said that if I run across any to wipe them out, butthe Legates are unkillable... Perhaps Tullius shouldn't had them by his side instead of Rikke...
