Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:58 am

Hello man, i have the same problem! My saves about 80 mb and game freezes every 1 minute fro 2-3 seconds! I really dont know what to do. Have you found solution?
Tried to delete all .esp and .bsa mod files, loaded my game and saved again, but this new save still 80 mb.
And i didnt understand what to do with Save Scanner. It only scans saves and what next?

OMG! I think i finally found the reason! Look this topic forums.nexusmods. com /index.php?/topic/597150-huge-save-file-bloat. They said that the reason is Adventures and Travelers mod! So i should delete it and wait 12 days in game...

Make sure when you do that you get rid of EVERYTHING, not just the .esp file. If it has loose script files, delete those too. Hopefully you've been using a mod manager that will take care of all that for you. I wonder what sort of nastiness is going on in that mod.

i strongly beleave that the bloating is leftover script data in the safe file itself. even after uninstaling the mod i still get lag spikes. so the only thing left for me to do is restart a new game avoid installing and uninstalling mods. auto unique arrow mod lags so much it takes 3 to 4 minutes before it tries to to remove the arrows from my back that shows you something is buggy the hell out of it.

Just turn off mods with scripts and wait 12 days in the game,

Turning them off isn't enough. Scripts are stored externally. The save can still reference them as valid objects. You have to COMPLETELY uninstall mods in Skyrim. It's not like the old days where unchecking the ESP solves everything.

I'm also not aware of the 12 day wait thing mattering. I've got stuff in my save that's been there for ages that's LONG past 12 days or even 30 days that still pops up in the debug logs as being attached. It can't find what it's after of course, because it's long gone, but the save is still looking for it.
