how do you kill morokei

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 6:04 pm

I'm attempting to take this guy on at level 13... died a couple times so far. Do I have any hope? I thought I was at the appropriate level, but then I see everyone in this thread fighting him at 16+ and I'm like

Kill the lower mage first, then go up and kill the one on the higher platform, once up there stay up there and you can snipe/fireball Morokei from there while he just moves backwards and forwards. Just move back a bit when he starts flingins spells at you and move forward again to shoot etc.

This worked really well for me. I actually only climbed up to the upper ledge, and killed both mages from there with the bow. His fireballs will bounce off the front of the ledge if you back up a little after each bow shot. Rinse and repeat. I was about a 20 when I did this and only took a couple of hits. It did take close to 20 arrows to drop him, though.

I used a Magic-sapping Glass Sword, spammed health potions, and made use of the Slow Time shout.

you hit him.

and then repeat until he dies.

keep in mind that ligtning bolt shot he does only does damage to your health after your magicka is gone. but if it does more damage than you have magicka it will spill over into health. its good to know but ultimately may not save you in the end.

I ran into him at level 11. Took a little while, but no biggie. First, I poked my head through the last doorway, and took out his two pals with Firebolt (I'm a Mage, and carry no weapons),

Next, I fired off a couple shots at Morokei while he was strolling around on his balcony. You can get clean straight shots from the doorway. That sets him off, and he'll head your way. I'd duck inside the doorway, close the doors, and inevitably, he'd wander back over to his favorite spot.

I'd wait until the red enemy marker went out, which let me know he was back over there. Then, I'd reopen the doors, blast off a few more fast Firebolts--kept going until he was toasted. Took a little while, but I didn't die or waste potions. It is along fight at lvl 11. This same strategy works real good elsewhere.

I did what Mageworx did at level 13, except I used Lightning Bolt and hid behind the pillars. Same basic strategy, though. You pretty much have to exploit enemy AI when you are so outmatched at that point. I had no enchanted gear, my most powerful spell was Lightning Bolt, and I had no weapons. If it wasn't for the Impact perk, the fight would have taken even longer. :P

Unrelenting Force him to stagger, attack normal, when he's about to attack shield bash and/or power attack try to keep him in a stagger stun lock. I also summoned a deadra (sanguin's rose) to help beat him down.

If you can get a couple of pot shot sneak arrows into him while a summon distracts that also helps a bunch. :)

I think the easiest way would be to use the mace of molag bal if you have it. I was a pretty low level and kept dying when i fought morokei but when i used the mace on him it drained all his magic and he couldn't do anything.... i always use it on dragon priests and enemies that use alot of magic attacks

I shield Bash him, then stab him down to around one quarter his hit points. Then I use my full powered unrelenting force to blast him off the mountain. It can be hard to find his body....

I just rushed him while dual wielding. I was a level 30 so that may have made a difference. I play on the default difficulty.

So many tips on here already but I think I must have defeated him when i was roughly at the level you're at now, what i remember he's not the quickest of enemies so I just hacked him with the battleaxe, the heaviest most damage oneI had, tried to get the power strike in when i could and then hide behind whatever pillar i could. as i say, he's not the quickest so by the time he catches up with you, the energy has replenished.

The first time we had a very very long (like a half hour) lightning bolt duel. The second time I was on my pure Breton mage with sign of the atronach so I just hit dragon skin for 100% spell absorption and fire balled him to death at point blank range while he refilled my mana pool. ^_^
