The thalmor.

Just a reminder, Talos IS in fact a God. It was proven in Oblivion.
That was when you had to collect the blood from a divine, right?

That and the fact that you gain a blessing from him that is the only way to banish Umaril the Unfeathered into Oblivion forever.
EDIT: Speaking of Blood of the Divines, couldn't we have just used Martin's blood for the ritual to Paradise? The blood of Akatosh flows through his veins. Which brings up another thing; he claims there were never any Aedric artifacts, yet the Amulet of Kings is an artifact (I know, you don't have it at the time...)

Talos wasn't racist though. He united every race under equality. He aborted his and Barenziah's child because it threatened his heirs' rule, not out of racism. The fact that he created the most powerful and prosperous empire on Nirn (supposedly) says that he did something right.

Pelinal on the other hand had perfectly legitimate reasons to hate elves. If you and your people were enslaved by another people, you would not exactly invite them to tea
Talos isn't Tiber Septim. He is various famous characters turned into a God.And yes,Aedra are from the Realm of Mundus, this make them killable.Homever they are still gods. When Lorkhan betrayed the divines, they removed it's hearth. And then the tribunal in Morrowind and the Dwemers tried to use it's power to get to the Godhood status.Homever the Dwemer failed, but the ribunal succeded. But having the powers of the Hearth, didn't maked them immortal.By destroing it's enchantments Dagoth Ur was killed/destroyed.Now the Thalmor are trying to do the same thing...Theoricaly.By killing everybody on Nirn and using the power of the Hearth to become immortal again =D.

I'm simply saying things aren't as simple as good/evil for most people. All history accounted, yes, the Thalmor are pretty bad. But who knows, maybe there's something we don't know about them.
I suppose. Still hate em though

Especially the Justiciars, who say "Incorrect, you can worship any god you wish, but Talos is a man." When I say I can worship whatever I want.
I hope it doesn't end up with "They're not evil; they're misunderstood."
I'd rather learn more stuff that justifies them as a real and present danger, not a vague Getcha From the Shadows group.

The amulet of kings, AoK, was an elven artifact. From the ayleids, to be precise.

Martin's blood worked, but they realized it all too late. He smashed the AoK and summoned Akatosh, vaporizing himself in the process. Ah well. Sean Bean always dies in his films :(

Umm, he most certainly is. Talos was his Nordic name. Once he became an Imperial General, he Imperialized it to Tiber Septim. He then ascended to Divinity for uniting every race of Tamriel under one banner. Once he was Divine, he is referred back as Talos, as that was his true name.

Akatosh was created straight from chaos before Mundus was formed by Magnus. I know that Divines are killable as Lorkhan was killed. Also, how do we know the dwemer failed to acheive divinity? They vanished, they didn't die. But yeah, the original reason of my post was to clarify that talos and Tiber Septim are the same being. I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that he was just a culmination of various heroes.

Soul trap them and then put them in a two-bit boots of sneak.

I love binding those little crapsters to the mortal realm.

To the first post, that would be far better than the misunderstood option xD
To the second, I know the AoK has Akatosh's blood in it though. So theoretically it would work. I assume this is how Camoran opened paradise. Either that or he pulled a Martin and used Uriel VII's divine blood (speakign of divine blood, since the Septim line descends from Talos, that means they are directly related to a god and thus have two Divine's blood in their line.

the rule with the thalmor is very simple.

drink the koolaid and do as you're told or die.

end of.

they want it all. they've got it all. They're gonna keep it that way.

The thalmor aren't drinking the koolaid, they're administering it.

I see the thalmor as an oppressor that need to be killed.
They use a very clever plan divide the people of skyrim and the empire and let them fight among each other. manipulating those factions is not a hard task.
Thy used stormcloaks hatred of others as a way manipulate the political map of the land. by killing the high king stormcloack became a wanted man among imperial supporters and a hero among others.
All the thalmor need to do is use their collaborators to shift the tides a bit in order to make each faction do their bidding.

Not Niranye. She is probably one of the nicest characters in the game and I am disappointed that she is not marriageable.

I also like Viarmo. He and I are the only people around who aren't complete fools...

Very fun to kill. Their screams of superiority ringing ironic as I gut them with blades called to my hand from the realms of Oblivion. I slay dragons, bears, and giants for breakfast and they think three of them can take on me? Their robes look very nice on my warlock. I just wish I could find an un-enchanted version so I could add my own personal touches.

Destroying the world? Meh. A new world equals a new chance for Mehrunes Dagon to claim what is his by right. A new dawn is breaking!

I think all we need is to hire the Dark Brotherhood and do some assassinating.

My Dunmer Assassin nods and says "I'm in."

Don't sweat it Daryn, Dras really likes the Thalmor (probably trolling tbh)

I really do like the Thalmor (not trolling honest, though people do get way too upset over them and way too easily at that), it's about time we had a pro-elven faction even if according to some interpretations of non-canon lore they're trying to blow up the world.
