Cure poison might even be useful, make it an adept spell. Cure desease would be welcome, make it an expert spell. Of course, these both effects struggle from the fact that they don't get anything special from dual-casting (at the same time) and I think that's what they have at least tried to keep to when adding spells to the game. I can't think of any spell that wouldn't benefit from dual-casting, except for master level spells and clairvoyance and ore transmute.
2 - [censored]s up the lore.
It doesn't actually censor up the lore in any way. The magic schools are nothing but the creation of the mages guilds. Mysticism and the dark arts is a whole blend of other stuff, including destruction, alteration, conjuration and restoration. Might even have a bit illusion to it if you really look at it from a funny angle. Lore-wise, you should be able to heal an opponent with knowledge from the destruction school, but as that is illogical to mages, they try to keep it simple by separating stuff into easy-to-understand schools of magic.
I haven't read that much lore though, just the occational book here and there so don't believe everything I say about that schools and stuff, but it's at least partly true!
