Generic enchanted daedric armor

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:48 am

I've yet to find a single piece at level 73. Anyone else experienced this?

I am in the 40's and have not seen any Daedric Items anywhere. Other than the Artifacts but I don't think those are all Daedric materials.

Not Daedric, but I've found an enchanted Dragonplate Helmet, I believe it gave waterbreathing. :S

Aye, I too have found an enchanted Dragonplate Helmet, but not a single daedric piece of armor, enchanted or no.

Craft it. If you don't want to perk up crafting, use the Atronach forge.

That would have been a fantastic reply, if it had answered my question. I have a full set of legendary daedric armor, now I wanna know if the generic daedric enchanted armor listed at uesp.net does drop ingame at all, or if it's just there in the game files.

I've only found one Daedric armor item, a pair of gauntlets. They were in a chest. And I can't remember where.

The rest I hate to smith up my DAMN self.

So they do in fact drop? I wonder why the made them so redicilously rare when you can literally smith yourself a full set before reaching level 20.

I don't think beth expected people to power level their smithing to 100 at level 10 and know where to efficiently collect deadra hearts and ebony ore. Smithing deadric equipment without prior knowledge of the game would be rather hard. On my first playthrough i had 110 deadra hearts and over 200 ingots, I ended up never using most of them because light armor provided as much protection for much less weight.

It seems to me that bethesda didnt expect alot of things (enchanting, I rest my case) if the reason why generic daedric loot is so rare was to balance the game, and reward the patient.

The game has soo many (easy to discover) ways to make your character insanely overpowered, but they decide to hold back on daedric loot when it can actually make a difference.

I'm level 54, and I've only come across some dragon scale boots, and some daedric weapons.

I've gotten three Daedric swords, but no armour or any other weapons yet. I'm level 57 with 170 hours of game play on this character so they must be pretty rare. Which is awesome, I got so tired of every freaking bandit in Oblivion having a full set of Daedric armour. This is just one more example of the things Bethesda did better in Skyrim than they did in Oblivion.

Things like enchanting and alchemy have been highly exploitable for quite a while. Honestly, I think at this point they fully realise just how abusable such skills are and they just don't mind. Some people like being able to make ridiculously powerful gear practically from the start and it doesn't really hurt anything by letting them. Since Morrowind and on I've just ignored all forms of custom item/spell making if I wanted any sort of challenge, because I didn't want to accidentally make myself my own personal nuke. As someone who only uses items that are naturally in the game, I've got no problem with the slow progression of gear. I've got a level 15 guy that's still in steel plate armor that uses dwarvern weapons. I like that powerful gear like Daedric is rare.

The only thing that I think MIGHT be unintended is that you can get all the way to 100 smithing just making iron daggers. But, then again, you can slowly level your lockpicking just by breaking picks.
