There are lots a pretty choices of females for male players to marry, but Can a male Nord marry Annekke Crag-Jumper if her husband dies?

Also for female Characters, (a little discriminatory on the female players that few attractive choices for male partners were offered-most are bald or one-eyed, strange huge chins, horrible scarred, mean..etc....etc) except redheaded Erik, who is a farely average looking guy and seems nice enuff ....so has anybody tried marrying Ralof who rescued us at the beginning? OR Golldir (a follower) by adding the marryable fac code, and if so does he have the same voice files as somebody marryable, so able to speak normally on those topics once added. He is a good follower tho not very talkative. What about Thorald Gray-Mane or Avulstein Gray-Mane? I don't know Thorald's codes, but Avulstein Gray-Mane is listed as being in HousecarlFaction even tho he is not available for any of the Thane Houses, but it might make him congenial if the marryablefac code was entered. How can we find out who their voice actors were for each character to find out if they also voiced marryable characters, so whoever we make marryable with the addfac code will be able to speak those lines?

Not trying to be too picky, but u can only marry once and Come on, it's a bit strange that the ladies should not even be able to marry an attractive blonde Nord somewhere in Skyrim at least, let alone not a long haired brunette that does not seem to be missing an eye like Argis the Bulwark who would be great otherwise? Also Olmund from Winterhold is o.k. normal looking but U cannot even see what kind of hair he has under his hood (if any?) before u marry him..soooooo LOL We can't all just marry Erik as the only decent choice, can we?.LOL

Yeah, the devs were definitely very frank about pointing out their heterosixuality when they selected NPCs that heterosixual female PCs should marry. A wide range of overweight, ugly, hairy, obnoxious, balding, drunk, nerdy, old, or just plain ugly males to chose from. A nice representation of RL males, in other words, pointing out that a wonderful semi-godlike female hero should want to marry people like that.

Noticing this pattern, I had my female Khajiit marry Ysolda (connection to the Khajiit caravans, plus drug trafficking!), and I'm just teasing all the horny NPCs now on my female Redguard by wielding the amulet of Mara and ignoring their requests - I want to see what other horrors the devs thought to be fancy options for marriage this time.

I married Aela the Huntress, as she is a follower and companion. Just be careful though as your wife will set up a shop when you get married and if you ask them to follow you, give her some armor, then dismiss them.
Next time you ask them what they have for sale it will be most likely be on the list.
Almost lost a very good set of Dadric armor and weapons because of that.

I wondered about that, thanx for the warning. It probably is the same regardless the gender.

Also i'm wondering, if u give a follower super armor to help keep them stay alive and let them keep some of it as a gift when we part, will they still have it if u go back and re-hire them (or ask them) to be a follower sometime later? Just wondering if it wasting the armor to gift it to them (married or not married) or if the followers actually get to keep your parting gifts.

When U marry does it show them sleeping next to u like it does NPC's who are married. Or do u still just stand at the side of the bed alone to sleep and pretend they are sleeping in bed with u? How do unmarried followers sleep? Do they automatically get sleep whenever u sleep?

1). The armor may show up in the store list but they won't sell it (in my experience).
2). Yes, they will retain the armor and weapons you give them even after you dismiss them. They just probably will revert to looking like they're wearing their default armor until you either transition to another area (i.e. enter or leave a building) or if you trade with them and remove one item and then give it right back.
3). When you sleep, it fades to black. As for sleep, I don't think anyone really does *need* it, actually.

While I agree that there wasn't much in options for males, as many of the choice looked to be 50+ and utterly unkempt, I found Wilhelm to be pretty handsome. Maybe you like men with pompy, voluminous feminine full heads of hair, but I don't mind a receding line.

Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, pretty damn attractive and masculine guys with receding hairlines/bald heads. With men it's about how they groom what hair they have. It's definitely a cardinal sin to have long hair if your hair is thinning and brittle, and you don't have enough hair volume -- it looks ratty and basemant nerd-like. But a smart guy will groom his hair proportionately short relative to his hairline and he'll still manage to look masculine and sixy so long as he works on his body, since for men it's more the body and face than the hair that makes or break attractiveness.

Gay guys like masculine next door guys and lumberjacks to a degree where metrosixual and twink-like romance novel figures such as Taylor Lautner don't appeal in the slightest, so it's a case of not having a one size fits all for non-heterosixuals.

There's also just an issue with the game having TERRIBLE hair textures. All hairstyles, particularly male, look horribly brittle and broom-like. I went with my character as bald since all the hair options were just plain ugly in texture and style. Doesn't need to be polished, blowdried sleek hair, but they could've put in some more effort into hair texturing and resolution/tech. All hairs look horribly stiff and with little resolution.

You'll also note that the male players are very barrel chested and have no ass whatsoever; the legs are pretty skinny instead of meaty/chunky. Still, you can make a passably attractive character. TES certainly needs to do an overhaul on character creation for the next game, because there's no point in having so many sliders if none of the options actually give a chance at aesthetically pleasing characters.

I'm still delighted to have my Archmage come to Hjerim and have his handsome Wilhem greet him with "love" and "dear". Perhaps there's still subconscious bias to character design, but at least Skyrim confers people like me with the dignity that the real world denies me. And I am grateful to Bestheda for that.

That's an interesting theory! :)
Whilst I see nothing wrong with a man being any of the above, it does seem odd that the options for wedding a 'stereotypically' attractive woman are alot more open.

Maybe this goes into a deep psychological study, or yeah maybe the devs are just old fashioned and a bit weird.
Maybe they assume that female charecters would want someone less classically attractive to soothe their insecurities. "So which cheap wench at the inn will you be slipping it to whilst I'm out killing dragons today, darling?"
Whereas a male gamer may just have the urge to show off his beautifull new trophy and go adventuring with her, so thus, something that would look good in tight leather armour becomes essential.
