Hon.... I get lost in there and I'm ANYTHING but a "new gamer" (I played my first CRPG in 1985....) That place is hell on visual acuity especially for 65 year old eyes. I'm taking my Khajiit in there tomorrow - with NightEye, I hope things will be better....

Hahaha I took the title the wrong way .... on my second playthrough I zipped through the MQ visit, then went back later with no active quests to explore, do the crimson search, mine, etc.; I wanted to do it justice, respect to the creators.
I got "lost," not lost-lost, lol.

At one point I saw a giant mushroom that was swaying where others were not, and I wandered over and stood under it for a solid half minute or so, just staring up at it. When everybody else has been "cleared" and you've harvested the crimson (I got 44), the whole place is really, really quiet and peaceful.

Blackreach is one of my favorite places. I have yet to explore to much though. I have went down twice ( on diff chars) for MQ, and didn't "find" everything, on purpose.

I plan on makeing a pure mage who is a dwemer scolar, he or she will be doing most of my exploring of Blackreach.

But I just restarted my thief/assassin so I might have to find some reason for her to go down their. I'm not quite down with my warrior though, so she can go back down if I get the itch to see it again.

You gotta EMBRACE the Blackreach chile, sickest place in the game!

I never really felt creeped out by Blackreach. It's an awesomely trippy experince, like you're high. Try going to Blackreach and drinking sleeping tree sap!

I did that one, guess what happened? The bloody thing circled me twice and flew off, never to be seen again. I want to know, where something that big can hide in Blackreach? I've searched everywhere... oh, maybe the friggin' thing used the lift to escape.

It usually lands on the pathway, below and outside of the structure, close to where the Giant is walking. LOL Then again, maybe he did take the elevator to the surface to join Alduin in his fight hahahahaha

He lands on one of the yellow brick roads and stays there. You have to find where he landed.
